Roasters always make the best coffee! Dark horse didn’t disappoint today, fantastic smooth coffee, plus a quaint location in Truckee, walk around and check out the old buildings.

Very cute and eclectic coffee shop near the train tracks. If you want to experience a coffee shop pre-Starbucks era, this is your spot. Stone walls, vintage furniture, unique tea pots and coffee pots on display. Drinks were wonderful, chai latte had a nice spicy kick to it. Lots of wonderful roasted coffee options, they roast in house. Make a stop here for coffee or teas.

Latte with coconut milk had the perfect flavor. It’s one of the best lattes I’ve had lately. I’d return to this coffee shop if I’m in the area.

Quirky little place but coffee is wonderful! Definitely recommend the iced french toast latte.

Super cool, and funky coffee shop and roaster nestled in the heart of the Truckee Community. They serve up artfully crafted espresso beverages and pour over coffee, along with pastries and other food items. Always a good stop!

I asked some people in Squaw Valley where to get some coffee. Darkhorse was highly recommended.

We stopped by in the atmosphere was so cool I told my wife and son they had to come in.
