Social House Craft Sandwiches: A Beachy Cafe with a Hidden Speakeasy

Social House Craft Sandwiches is a unique cafe located in South Lake Tahoe, California. The cafe offers a variety of delicious sandwiches made with fresh-baked bread, premium quality meats and cheeses, and unique vegetarian options. The cafe also has a full bar that serves refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic slushies. The beachy atmosphere of the cafe is perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.

However, what sets Social House Craft Sandwiches apart is its hidden speakeasy. The speakeasy is located behind a cold freezer and can only be accessed by those who are on the list. The speakeasy has a total hipster vibe with live music and a visually captivating light-up bar. The staff and bartenders are friendly and love their jobs. The speakeasy has a special custom cocktail menu with about 20 options, and a $10 cover is added to your bill. It's totally worth it, underground, and apparently very difficult to get into. Filled with beautiful people and art, the speakeasy is a unique experience in the heart of South Lake Tahoe that's totally off the map, unassuming, and hidden.

Social House Craft Sandwiches is open seven days a week, with varying hours. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, the cafe is open from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On Thursdays, the cafe is open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the cafe is open from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

The cafe is located at 1001 Heavenly Village Way #3, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. The cafe has a warm vibe, and local musicians often perform here. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for chilly evenings. The prices are reasonable, but some may find it a little expensive. The cafe also serves great breakfast bagels and burgers. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink with friends.

Came here with my partner and got to check out the speakeasy! There's not really a code or anything so just ask the bartenders to be put on the list or ask for Dean and he'll put you on the list. We were told it was a 30-40 minute wait and that we would get a call when it was time for us to enter the speakeasy. To kill time, we just checked out the surrounding area/shops. We never got a call so we went back and checked on the wait. I did see the list again and there were several groups ahead when we were originally 2nd on the list so that was a little annoying. However, we got in within 10 minutes after checking in again. The speakeasy itself is pretty cool and the drinks were great as well. Definitely check it out and wait there to get in instead of waiting for a call.

We went here for breakfast and both ordered the wake up call. It was delicious especially the bacon they used.

Said they were done for the night , and refused to let us in; only to let another random couple in. Refused serviced and will never come here again. Poor customer survive and wouldn’t even give set hours. Do better and accommodate.

So the speakeasy seems to have a random enterenc timing. Get on the list and others get in first. No rhyme or reason

Amazing deli sandwiches! From the Tuna Nicoise to the Veggie, simply deliciously!! They offer gluten free options as well, bun or bagel. I got the veggie on gf bagel and it was sooo good!! Front bar has adult slushies, beee, wine and espresso. After 5pm, find the man dressed alittle different and find yourself in a secret place with craft cocktails and a different era...

Excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Got the fresh start with sausage added and wow!! People are really chill and prices are reasonable

Pretty nice place. They have a big selection of beers. Service is pretty nice also.

5/5.

Food was five stars. I had a to-go Wake Up Call breakfast sandwich that was wrapped tightly and stayed piping hot even after a 10 minute walk back to where we were staying. But for $15 for a single breakfast sandwich before tax and tip, it felt overpriced.

Super fun place. Savannah, our server was fantastic. Went there two days in a row. Burgers, sandwiches and hotdogs were fabulous. Beer was super cold!!!
Live music on the patio was very nice.
Will probably go her every time we are in South Lake Tahoe!
