The cafe is bustling with customers on weekends. A good time to visit is in the afternoon when the cafe basks in the sunlight. The beverages available are really good, but the coffee is surely the main and for good reason. The banana cake was very good as well and they'll warm it up for you.
A great place to come to if you want to have a relaxing afternoon on a weekend.

Really mediocre service, likely because the majority of the staff are high-school aged and have no social awareness. The young woman who took our order literally looked at us like we were committing a crime. Zero grace or charm. Also, their supposedly light-roast Saratoga Supreme coffee is over-roasted and quite bitter. Breakfast burrito was meh. Disappointing experience on many levels.

Ordered online and went to the counter to add a drink. It was a rough process. The employee didn’t know what I was talking about, couldn’t find it in the menu, and after all that chaos.”, my sandwich wasn’t ready. I came 15 minutes after it was supposed to be done.
The drink was flavorless and the food was just so/so.

Rating it based only on their food - mexicali quiche - which was good but nothing exceptional. Interior was good but due to current environment seating was limited and only outdoor. Location and service are really nice. Will update the rating once I've tried their coffee.

Excellent FRESH pastries and organic, locally sourced coffee. I never had an alfajore before and it was fantastic. My wife told me the best she's ever had. This place has a nice local feel and a rustic original ambiance with art featured by local artists. I'll be back here soon for sure.

Very tasty vegan options here, including turnovers, chocolate "cheesecake", cookies, tamale pie, soups, and sorbets. They also have a large variety of flavored lattes, including pumpkin pie and pumpkin spice, and multiple milk alternatives such as soy, almond, coconut, and oat. The playlist here is a mix of mellow indie, electronic, alt, and even a little 80s. Seating is good, with a mix of small tables and chairs, deep-seated chairs, and even a living room set on one side. The staff were very sweet and helpful too. We'll be back!

This quaint little cafe is just the right place for breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea, and dessert. It has indoor and outdoor seating. There is quite a variety of foods for breakfast and lunch. The food is delicious!!They also have an extensive tea and coffee selection as well as dessert selection.
We are visiting in the area and happened to stop by. I'm so thrilled that we did! Big Basin Cafe has become our go-to place for delicious foods and drinks.

Coffee was good and it's a nice relaxing place on the inside. Service was friendly but the food was mostly average. Had the empanadas and they were dry and crumbly on the inside and dough was too soft from being reheated. Also had a breakfast burrito which was good but the lousy salsa prevented it from being better.

Great little hidden gem! Live music, tasty coffee, and delicious food. I highly recommend their empanadas. The bread is some of the best I've had in a long while, making the empanadas flaky, tender, and fantastic. I will definitely be going back here again soon.

The atmosphere is pretty comfy and welcoming. They have free WiFi and the people are all very courteous and nice. The salad I ordered was ok, I would take off a start for putting in too much lettuce. The rest of it, particularly the quinoa was very delicious. The coffee was pretty well made and delicious. The cookies we ordered -- I forget the name -- were delicious and had caramel as the filling. Overall it would have been perfect if the salad didn't have too much lettuce.
