The pros:
The ambiance is great. They play good tunes, and the outdoor patio is beautiful on a spring or summer day. The wifi is free, strong, and speedy. They have a few outlets strategically placed between every 4 seats or so. The coffee itself is actually quite good - they roast in-house and tend to keep their roast profiles from light to mid, so their cold brews are delicious.
Pastries are also baked on site, and are fresh. I know they only sell what they make that day. It's also nestled in the heart of Santa Ana, so it definitely keeps a local shop feel.

The cons:
The customer service/hospitality is not great. I used to come here every single weekend and talk it up to everyone I knew. Despite being here often and spending hours, not once did the baristas make any sign of recognition or take the time to know my name.
I've regularly seen randoms wander behind the bar, but I would have to assume they're other employees off the clock - who are greeted with far more enthusiasm than I have ever seen them greet patrons. Also, if you order pastries, make sure you get a receipt. They have forgotten to give me my cookie more than once, and I've had to end up asking for it.

All in all, if you care about good coffee, good pastries, and somewhere to meet a friend, but want nothing to do with the baristas, this is the place to be.

Great art house style coffee house. Note, at the time I visited there was no decaf espresso available. Also parking is a bit confusing. There is a parking lot accessible from a side street but it is signed that it is private parking only. However I did see several people going to the coffee house park there.

Truly a hidden Jem of OC. They have on site roasting. Very nice ambience and sitting area, they even have a nice outside patio behind the store. My Americano was just excellent and the way I love it , and their almond croissant was yummy delicious warm and soft and very flavorful, will definitely go out of my way to stop by here again when I am in the area!! Baristas were bit on the dry side...cheer up guys, you could make the experience even so much more awesome!

Hidden gem (maybe not so hidden but it rhymes) in the Santa Ana neighborhood, away from the downtown area! Lovely backyard that’s quiet and beautiful, especially in the morning when you can hear the bird chirping. Decent drinks and nice staff. The daily brew tasted just as fresh as you’d get if it were a pour over

This is a great space, both inside and out. The courtyard in the back is something I rarely see in Southern Cali, ... it reminds me of something I might find out of state. It's definitely an atmosphere that's sometimes appreciated in a great community coffee shop. Trees, fresh air, and it doesn't feel like it's part of a crazy hustle and bustle of the city.

Friendly staff. In house bakery kitchen. In house roasting.

I tried a couple different coffees and they were varied in taste but all high in quality.

Shared a few different pastries,... the vegan cookie was rich and delicious. The apricot & thyme scone with glaze was savory and good. The bagel bomb was awesome w a flavored cream cheese filling. Def try that! Unique. We got the last one on that day.

When you're in the area, check them out. And their outdoor beer garden, Dear Lacy, is steps away and has soft opened.

Great coffee! Plenty of seating and wall plugs. Great ambient music selection! It says they close at 6pm on Sundays but there were plenty of folks still around until almost 7 when I left.
