Bliss Cafe

Worst hot chocolate and worst coffee we've ever had. Hot chocolate tasted like slightly flavored water. Extremely expensive too. Over $13 for 2 drinks. We threw away our drinks and went around the corner for better hot chocolate and coffee for $8 total.

I was here 7/7/2017 -- a Friday morning, and had the mega greens smoothie and it was delicious. We were just passing through and I wish I had more time to spend here. The place had a nice selection of healthy foods, snacks and smoothies, great energy and a beautiful and peaceful seating area out back. The women working here were very pleasant.

This plave is very lovely. Friendly staff and really good and vegan food. Loved my fresh Açaí bowl. In my opinion the granola could be more crunchy.

Must visit vegan place if you are in SLO! Nice ambience, great food and plenty of choices, Everything was great but Lentil soup was amazing.

I had the coconut curry and it was a beautiful experience at this vegan haven. They had delicious food, drinks and desserts. They were also eco friendly. You could sit inside in a cozy room with a mismatched furniture feel. And play chess or other games scattered around. Or you could sit outside on a brick patio with shady greens!

Only suggestion is adding ice at the self serve water station.

Quite possibly my favorite spot to stop whenever I'm driving from the Bay to LA.
A cute and fairly nondescript spot, I first came upon Bliss Cafe in November 2020 when I was making my first road-trip in a while down to Los Angeles, and knew I would need to stop for food somewhere. Turns out, a vegan spot in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo is the place to go, and it's been where I've stopped pretty much every time since.
I typically get their cheesy scramble with a side of tempeh bacon, one of the Bliss balls (energy balls), and an iced coffee. The food is always delicious and fairly nutritious, with lots of amazing flavors and bites to enjoy. I always ask the staff what their favorite Bliss ball (or other dessert is) of the ones offered, and pick that one to follow up the meal. The iced coffee cannot be beat.
Make sure to take your food out to the outdoor patio for a lovely, peaceful and serene spot to enjoy your food, and bring a friend or two to share in more of the extensive and delectable menu.

This place is great. I used to live in SLO and would visit often since, at the time, it was one of the few vegan places in town. I’m here on vacation and hitting up my old spots and I’m so glad to see this place still here after Covid. The food is always amazing. I usually get a smoothie and an entree and it’s consistently great! If you’re passing through and don’t eat meat, this place is perfect. Plus, the atmosphere is great too. There’s pretty, modern seating inside and lots of outdoor seating outside near the river. Love this place 🤗

I ordered Buddha Bowl and Tumeric latte. Recommend it!
