Excellent coffee. A mark of a great coffee shop for me is the execution of their cappuccino. Academic’s cappuccino has notes of toffee, bread crust, and easy on the roasted dark tones. Their piloncillo is delicious as well, not overly sweet as most latte flavorings are.

Tried Academic today, 2 drinks actually! Americano and Cappuccino. Both were delicious, don't even need cream and sugar. Service was super friendly. You do have to park on the street and feed the meter, but it's all good, it was worth it! Very simple menu and quality coffee and espresso. I'll be back. :)

Friendly and personable.
Coffee is pretty outstanding and the variety on offer is extensive as far as taste goes but some things are hit, some things are miss. That's up to you.
Normal, non apocalyptic offering of sweet treats and snacks is pretty good and pretty diet inclusive so definitely help keep this place afloat during this wild time and hit it up in 2 years when we aren't at war with each other and a bioweapon.

Decent coffee. They are open only for take out with few chairs to sit outside.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the area. The staff is always very friendly and makes an effort to make you feel at home. If your like traditional coffee or something new & different they got you covered. I’d recommend their Pandan Cold Brew or a traditional Cortado.

Delicious coffee and amazing people working there. There are barely any charging spots in the place. The outdoor seating area was cool so if you are looking to hangout with friends, its a great place.
Edit: removed the part about the AC and would suggest the owner to add more charging spot.

Love this place. I come in here almost every morning because they make a great espresso and I love the oat milk latte. The service is great and the baristas are always very nice. The place does have a good vibe as has been mentioned already. I need to try to pastries as they look great.

I loved their ice coffee ($3.50)! Super mild and we'll rounded flavor, not crazy strong and in-your-face like some ice coffees can be. Great addition to my day. Chocolate croissant ($6) is pretty fantastic, great buttery pastry and chocolate is good quality, not too sweet but not too dark... perfect flakiness on top and crispiness at the ends! Honestly, it was great but a little expensive so next time I'll just go for the coffee and maybe a smaller pastry... ube mochi muffins ($4) from Third Culture are the best! They even sell the churro variety ($4) here, and of course a good selection of the mochi donuts ($4).
Barista/cashier was lovely and helpful, very sweet. Very quick service as well, granted it was just an ice coffee and pastry out of the display case but it was ready before I had a chance to out my wallet back in my backpack! The line went by fairly quick as well. Open and bright atmosphere was lovely, lots of people chatting or working at their respective tables. Lots of outdoor seating with varying degrees of shade from a nearby tree. Overall, great quality coffee place but some pastries are a bit expensive... though they are well-crafted and delicious!
Update: Tried the ice coffee another time and I regret not asking for what beans they used for the first ice coffee I had here cause (of course!) they change up the beans for the ice coffee. This time was a different coffee, still good but not my favorite flavor profile personally. There was the flavor of - if you've ever tried a cacao bean - that kind of acrid, sourish/acidic flavor that is very distinct. Still very drinkable and not overly strong but man, I am so sad I didn't think to ask exactly what they used for my favorite first cup! Wouldn't change my rating though; this experience just means that despite the small cafe size they have a diverse selection of coffees and flavors to suit your individual taste buds!
