Small neighborhood place with extraordinary selection of coffees roasted here, and delicious pastries. Now have added live music on weekends. We love the cozy feel and energetic vibe! Have been here twice, although not local to us, and we plan to make it a regular destination.

Quick, friendly service at this little, cozy place. Solid espresso drinks...strong, smooth, and delicious. Also green matcha lattes, afagatos, and açaí yogurt parfaits.

This place is so good! I got the Arabian mocha and it was amazing. They have milk substitutes too! The drinks are delicious and not too sweet! You can tell that the owner is really passionate about the subtle tastes of the different drinks she makes. She also seems really nice and knowledgeable. She’s there every day and always makes the experience as good as the coffee.

I really wanted to like it here… I felt some attitude from the staff because it was hard to hear inside. I ordered an iced coffee and when it was handed to me, I noticed there was avocado remnants on the lid right where you would put your mouth to the opening… oh and to top it off, a hair between the cup and the lid. I was so disgusted and didn’t want to deal with it so I just left. I ditched the lid when I could but I honestly didn’t even want to drink the coffee at that point. Not sure how avocado ended up on my lid and then to have a tiny hair touching the inside. Just gross.

Yes! First time to Kakawa Coffee, we were picking up a cake from next door and stopped in. They really care about their coffee and our drinks were delicious. We ended up buying a bag of their espresso roast which given how quality it is, is definitely worth the price but should probably come with a warning.. it's the Kief of Espresso, consume wisely. :)

Fabulous unique lattes served up by two friendly ladies! My favorite is the Kakawa Latte. They often also have seasonal blends that are always great as well. Their coffee is smooth and not too sweet. I also buy their coffee beans to brew at home... Excellent! The dark roast is my favorite but their others are also great.

Hands down the best coffee in San Diego! I drive out of my way to get their Arabian latte oat milk, its SOO GOOD!! Gladys always makes sure the coffee is amazing and Maria is the best ! Love coming here! Will keep coming here ❤️❤️❤️
