My wife drives by this place all the time. We are on the way to the airport, so she decided to surprise me and we stopped here. I ordered a to go type of waffle, and it was pretty good. It had powdered sugar, and like the little kid that I am, I got it all over the place. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of tasty drinks, but otherwise it's pretty good. After I ordered from the top menu, I noticed some drinks I missed that were not on the menu. Oh well, I will know for next time what to try.

Great, solid local coffee roasters! Affordable great quality coffee and amazing non-coffee beverages and eats. They have a diversity of vegan alternative milks as well as they carry cake donuts that are Vegan (but still taste good)
They also have pour overs in addition to drip coffee

This place has the strongest cold brew I ever taste!! The dark horse coffee it’s great place for people that want to get a cup of coffee on the go! Their sitting area inside is very small and when crowded it can be a little annoying to try work on your computer. Overall is a good place. They have free WiFi and fairly clean bathroom.

Absolutely delicious puts the other coffee houses in the area to shame. The best coffee we had in San Diego the only down side is no skim milk. The Donuts we good but nothing like as good as the coffee.

Dark horse now has several different locations throughout San Diego. They serve great coffee and this is my favorite location. Plenty of outdoor seating, with indoor tables that are well styled too. They usually have some kind of vegan donuts that taste incredible (I'm not vegan, for the record) and some more creative coffee-centric offerings. I highly recommend their cold brew in any style.

Love this place! Definitely my favorite Dark Horse out of the three.

The macchiato is always phenomenal and as a chocoholic I always order a hot chocolate to go along with.

Shout out to Tyler and Amanda for being amazing! I spilled my drink and they were super cool about it and made me another without hesitation.

Very inconsistent with their coffee. One day it’s on point the next day it tastes like plain hot milk. It varies with each barista. I’ve had the salted maple be nice and sweet and then I’ve had it too salty. I know they can make a good latte but I don’t always get one.

Great staff and Excellent Baristas. Espresso was nice and pour over of Fruit Party was just as good!

Very nice and hip place, but the coffee is really nothing special to write home about - unfortunately.... I guess it's difficult to get good pricing for some really good beans for low volumes. However the ice cream place next door is a whole another story...

Beautifully decorated with a modern but natural feel. Much bigger than the Adam Ave. location. Parking also a little better but you still have to scope out for spots on the street. Indoor and outdoor seating. Drink selection is pretty straight forward. They're well known known for their classic and traditional drinks - pour overs and cold brews. The Guatemala is divine and is quite powerful. But nice, roasted flavor throughout. I got a 12oz at $3 even and not only was I immensely satisfied but I was wired for the entire day. I love me some Dark Horse!
