Better Buzz Coffee Hillcrest

The coffee is great! The food is great! Everyone is so friendly and truly seem to love what they are doing. Only complaint is there aren’t a lot of power ports. And by not a lot, I mean virtually none. Also, the WiFi is atrocious! Maybe they do this so you don’t stay long? But just load up your personal hotspot and make sure everything is charged before you go and you’ll be in good shape! The cappuccinos are delicious! Go for the Guatemalan blend. And they have a new kombucha on tap that is to die for!-

This is probably the best designed coffee shop in SD with lots of space. Food and coffee are very tasty and the staff are mega friendly.
The Wi-Fi connection could be better though and there are practically no outlets.

i wanted to go to a cafe to work on my final paper for english so i chose better buzz. i really love it here due to the welcoming atmosphere from the staff and the place itself. i ordered an iced vanilla bean latte with almond milk and it was amazing! i believe there are two stories, as well as a study/conference room which i find it pretty cool! it feels like you're in a library and a cafe at the same time. the staff are extremely helpful and nice when it comes to my order. i would definitely go here again and would recommend for anyone who is looking for a place to study/work or just want to casually enjoy a cup of morning coffee.

The chai’s…delicious. A loss of two stars because of the attitudes of the baristas (woman/gray shirt/ponytail) and food server (male/small/loud). If they tell you that your food will be brought to you as you sit, that’s ONLY if it isn’t busy. Listen out for your name otherwise the pickup area crew will be, ponytail and loud, will be rather foolish. Loud is yelling after not even trying to find our table. And Ponytail will say “Yay we found you” when you realize over the loud voices, music etc. that you’re being called upon. A buzzkill? Perhaps.

Better Buzz is a San Diego favorite! They have various locations but it was my first time at this one! ☺️ It was super spacious and a great place to spend a sunny day because the windows were open and the fresh breeze felt so nice 😄 They had a mango redbull smoothie which is a first! My friend bought that and I got the rose latte 🌹 They mixed in real rose petals and spritzed it with rose water ☺️

What a beautiful location! Very bright and airy. Lots of seating and a good vibe. The staff was super nice and made you feel at home.

I got the iced mint coffee...DELICIOUS! This is my go to drink here. I usually ask for a little extra sweetener. 😍 Pretty much all I’ve tried here is tasty!

The açaí bowls and breakfast sandwiches are yummy too! And the avocado toast is also great. Depending on your mood. Glad to see this coffee shop all in this neighborhood and all over San Diego really!! AWESOME!! 🙌🏼❤️

The coffee shop looks grand and upscale. This is a local roasters chain having locations everywhere in San Diego. Honestly, it’s not that good, the way it looks! We sat here for some hours to chat until they close the location. The coffee was mediocre, nothing fancy. I took a mocha latte. They have some food options too which I didn’t try.

Really good for second wave offerings (everything slightly tastes over extracted so that milk and sugar can cover the bitterness). "Single origin" offering for espresso was not really any better than bucks. Vibe is nice if you're here to socialize. If you're looking for specialty coffee, keep looking.

I would give this place 3 stars for its cortado; however, the chai latte was quite disgusting. It was poorly foamed. Didn’t taste much of the spices but just disgustingly sweet. 0 star for the chai latte for sure. Turkey pesto sandwich was just ok.

Better buzz is a great buzz. Good coffee (huge sizes even for the regular) and great vibe. The location is really nice with warm and inviting atmosphere. Baristas as super cool
