Deja Vu Restaurant

First time in Redding, had breakfast GOOD. made my tummy happy. Had Mexican chalolate. Debbie was our waitress very nice and told me some stories, which I enjoyed very much. A must try.

Oh My Gosh, it was perfect. Good service and the best French toast with huckleberry syrup. Yum! Glad it's not in my little town.

A tail of failing service:
This was my third visit to this establishment.
Pre-pandemic, in 2019 I thoroughly enjoyed the place and hand very fond memories of of their food, service and atmosphere.
This year I returned there a month ago to have a "send off to college" breakfast with my kid. Food was enjoyable, yet service clearly slid in quality.
Yesterday, my wife was craving eggs Benedict and she got the most remarkable breakfast. My own dish ended up being disappointingly bland.
Yet a thing that prompted this review was an utter deterioration of service. Ms. Lauren (at least was a name on a check) was neglectful, did not check in, provide refills and charged us for coffee that never came. While I did not have a heart not to tip, I don't think I will spend a dollar there again.

this is my favorite breakfast place in town. you will never find a better omelet or better staff. they have a beautiful coffee shop where you can sit and have a cup of coffee if you have to wait for a seat. I will always recommend this restaurant.

Great little coffee joint and restaurant downtown in a beautiful building. The wait times for breakfast can be pretty long, but they have a coffee bar inside to wait comfortably with some caffeine. Food is always great, everyone is polite. 👌👍

I live 3 hours away, but think of their biscuits often. lol. Deja Vu is my favorite place for breakfast of all time. There's a reason it's always busy. Even the simple things like a 2 egg breakfast are always perfect.

Love this place!!! Always has fresh good food! Always very busy. But worth the wait. I Live how any omelette can be turned into a scramble. I had the special today Tim's scramble very delicious.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The Country Fried steak breakfast is to die for. Great service and amazing food. You will always have to wait a little to get in but they are efficient and its worth the wait.

I had a wonderful experience at Deja Vu. We stopped by for breakfast. The historical building makes for a classy interior, the staff were efficient and very friendly, and the food was tasty and quick! I would definitely go out of my way to stop by again!
