Absolutely wonderful, hidden gem in downtown Redding. Food was amazing and perfectly prepared. Server was very friendly and prompt despite being a busier than normal morning for the restaurant. Will most certainly be coming back for more!

Always excellent food especially the omlets! Great service also. Been going there for years. Mother's day had daughters come for lunch with Mom. Great meal, good company, great place but they don't take reservations and close at 2p. Fantastic omelets!

I think it was an off day, but because it was my only visit so far, I can't give it any better.
I ordered breakfast; pancakes, hashbrowns and over-easy eggs. The pancakes were chewy, either overcooked or old, and the hashbrowns were complete mush inside and held a lot of water. The eggs were eggs. Not seasoned, but cooked to order.
Our server was Excellent. She was a 5 star server without a doubt. She apologized and even offered an explanation for the food (regular kitchen staff was out sick and the Sub doesn't cook very often, or very well it turns out lol). Which I understand. She even comped some of our order. And just to press how wonderful she was; even though the food was terrible, she got a $50 tip for her attitude, professionalism, and willingness to entice a second chance visit with her charm.
The place is hands down beautiful. A conversation piece in itself. I am definitely going to try this place again when the regular staff is working and give it a 'no grudge' second chance. I really want to love this place.

Chicken strips. So bad. Fried so hard they were essentially bricks. So much gristle you could barely chew them. I really looked forward to eating here. A sad sad meal. I ate three bites. The hostess asked if I wanted a to go box. I said no, it’s a terrible meal. The hostess let the server know and they took off the chicken from our bill. She was gracious and kind. The food however was just genuinely terrible.

This is my first visit to Deja Vu restaurant. Have always wanted to stop in. Went for breakfast on New Years Eve morning. Had to wait about 20 mins or so for a table, with our group of 5. I grabbed a coffee from the coffee bar. Mexican mocha. The coffee was great! When we were seated for breakfast, we didn't have to wait long for the server to arrive. We ordered drinks and had made up our minds quickly, ordering food as soon as the server arrives with drinks. A short time later our food arrived. Generous portion sizes, and played well too. I didn't take any pictures, as I was hungry and the food was so inviting, I just drove right in. The flavors were good. I enjoyed what I ordered, the corned beef hash. We all enjoyed our food. Service was excellent. Prices were fair. Ambiance of the restaurant and coffee bar were inviting. I think I will be back fairly soon to try their lunch menu. Based on my experience today, I would recommend.

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while and finally got a chance to visit with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't as crowded as I expected as we were seated in a nice booth.
The menu had some interesting breakfast items. The lunch side of the menu was less inventive with conventional sandwiches and such. I ordered the Tim's Scramble off of the Specials Menu on the board and my friend ordered one of the omelettes called The Verdict. The food was attractive and plentiful but my hash browns were slighty burnt on the top and that was the only part of them that were browned. Both of the dishes were properly cooked and were somewhat tasty but were pretty bland. The scrambled eggs had spinach in them but needed some fresh herbs or something else. We finished our meal with the cinnamon roll which was fresh and delicious.
The service was friendly and professional. There is a coffee bar on the other side of the restaurant that looked inviting. Despite the less than stellar food I plan on going back.

Amazing service, one of the few places that I feel still is SO attentive to customers. Also the food and vibes are amazing. GET THE HOT CHOCOLATE

Wish I could give negative stars. I have been to this place many times. It is in a very nice building with a rich history and nice decor. The only thing they have going for them is the location. I have had a problem with my order every time. The food is good so I think it is the wait staff. Everyone is always very polite, but polite does not get the job done. Read the negative reviews they are not paying any attention to customers when there is a problem with the order. I got up and left after saying something and being ignored, I had just hit my limit, If they are going to make mistakes they are going to pay for them. They see customers with issues about the food or service and ignore them rather than deal with the issues. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Good food with great service. Very nice restaurant and the service was great.
Food is a little more than a chain for breakfast, but the food was top notch and the prices weren't horrible.
Definitely someplace I'll go back to.

I’ve never written a review but the experience was terrible. The food was good but I wasn’t able to eat because they seated the six of us in a small booth making it awkward to do anything. We had to grab a chair to our booth because I was half sitting on the booth. Even the waitress commented on crowded it was for the food to be placed but didn’t bother reseating us. I felt like we were being treated like some group of teens. I don’t know if I wanna bother coming back if they’re just gunna treat their customers like that. This place use to be my favorite place to go with my family and friends I even like coming here to study when I was in high school.
