Really enjoy the space and had a delightful peppermint mocha (a holiday drink). The staff were friendly and gave my friend and I a pastry on the house because they were closing for the day. I'd definitely come back here to study!

The strawberry almond croissant was amazing! Customer service guy asked me if I wanted it warm, I said yes, then he handed it to me cold. It was just a strange interaction, kind of unhelpful and just blatantly didn't answer my simple questions; it sincerely felt like he was "better than that." Turned me off from my first visit.
The granola tasted old and I didn't like it. I've also had better coffee, the cappuccino wasn't very smooth. Oh well. I might try it again but I'm going to avoid that one guy. The barista seemed nicer.

The place is very nice. There is lots of space to work. I have to recognize that the internet speed is amazing. I have added test results, so far the fastest in Pasadena. Baristas are kind and very talented. I consider illumination is crucial for being productive so I can say illumination here is really good. Sometime it might be a bit noisy but because some people talk loud but in general the music is played at a moderate volume. Food is alright. I ate a carne asada salad and it was delicious.

Excellent coffee! The search for the perfect cortado has ended! Nice atmosphere. Large area to sit and visit or do school work. Will be back!

Had some great coffee here in the past but walked out today after waiting about five minutes to be recognized. The two employees were too busy chatting to even say hello, much less take an order. Nobody else was in line, so I assumed they were just not interested in selling me anything.

Coffee with a purpose and the people behind the mission are beyond amazing. The coffee itself is also quite delicious and top notch. And if you need a festive holiday drink - the hot chocolate is a MUST. You have to visit and hang out here! There is plenty of seating and even a place for children to play.

Went in on Tuesday morning hoping for a Mocha and a pastry. Only 2 pastries were available and they were out of non-fat milk. Ended up getting some tea and a turkey sandwich; tea was tea - nothing special and I can’t say the the small sandwich was worth $9 especially since it came alone (no fruit or salad on the side).

Was looking for a local coffee shop to support during Covid and so happy I found Rosebud Coffee. The service was excellent and the coffee was even better. There is a little patio area in the back to just chill and sip some coffee. Nice vibe, great coffee, and great customer service.

After reading Rosebud's mission statement, I knew I had to give this place a try. They started out with just a small coffee cart, traveling around LA to give work to the homeless and young adults to practice perfecting making a great cup of coffee. Now that they've found a physical location in Pasadena, they hope to continue their mission statement by working hand in hand with Wild Goose of Redlands to provide a barista training partnership for these transitional aged youth to begin serving at coffee at events with their mobile coffee cart. It feels good to support something beyond just an actual business, so I went to try it out as soon as possible.
The storefront is on Sierra Madre and Colorado Blvd. Rosebud shares a space with Chirp (a kid's karaoke studio). Very modern looking furniture with tables, chairs, booths spread out over the entire space. Open windows, high ceilings, neutral color tones that makes it a soothing place to study or have some alone time while enjoying a nice cup of coffee.
Rosebud serves coffee, various pastries, tea, granola, salads, sandwiches, wraps, as well as a kid's menu. Prices are not too bad, especially for a coffee shop in Pasadena. I ended up ordering a flat white ($3.50) - all the photos of the drinks looked pretty nice with the latte art on top, and after finding out that a flat white is basically like a latte, only there's less steamed milk and more coffee taste (according to John!) - I decided to go with that.
I was a little disappointed that the latte art looked like a weird blob that was supposed to be a heart flower, but ended up getting destroyed in the process. But oh well - the flat white tasted rich and smooth. I can definitely see why people prefer this over a latte - a tad bit stronger and slightly more bitter than a latte, but was still creamy and tasty. Cup wasn't too big - and I definitely got a kick of energy after drinking this. It kicked in an hour or so later. I was so jittery that it was hard to focus.
Tons of street parking, but there's also a lot in the back. Workers are super friendly. No minimum for credit cards either. There's WiFi available and lots of spaces to study; doesn't get too busy during weekdays.
tl;dr - A very good coffee shop located in Pasadena that's not in the Old Town area, with a purposeful mission behind what they do. The drink that I ordered was solid, and I definitely will be back to try some more drinks and possibly food. Highly recommend checking out Rosebud if you're a coffee enthusiast.

This is a nice neighborhood coffee shop. The place attracts quite a few people. The service is good. The coffee is pricey, $5 for a mocha, and the coffee came out like warm.
