Lovely customer service by the 3 treat goddesses behind the counter was refreshing. They willingly share their knowledge and pride in their craft.

I am looking forward to my return and the subsequent sensory party to follow :p

I have enjoyed ice cream in many places from Mitchell’s in San Francisco to Nimble & Finns in Guerneville.
But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor selection at Treats.
The bittersweet chocolate and bourbon cream is a must order! Incredibly creamy and authentic flavor.
Treats is on my “must stop by” list whenever I am in Nevada City!

(I forgot to give kudos to the owners and employees on how well they have adapted to Covid. They supply hand sanitizer and face masks at the front entrance and organize the flow of customers from entrance to exit. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!)

Yummy ice cream and sweets! I haven’t tried an ice cream here that I didn’t like. So good! A Nevada City staple in my opinion.

There are many ice cream spots throughout northern California but few does it right like Treats! I came here about a year ago and tried the ice creams and boy when they say Mint chocolate chip, they ACTUALLY mean mint chocolate chip! They used to have a very small shop in downtown way up in a small alleyway.
So small that you used to accidentally hit things with your butt. Now I'm all in favor of hitting things with my butt but not in a store, I like to do that when no one is watching.
Anyways that is a tale for another review. Treats moved down to another location which is huge, probably ten times as bigger than their old store! Plenty of place to enjoy ice cream with your friends and family!
There are many flavors here and I ordered a couple and taste tested a couple others!
Basil- Yes it literally tastes like the plant so for those of you who can't get enough of that basil goodness, this one is for you!
Honey vanilla- A old time classic with real honey that gives it a welcomed twist!
Jasmine-Yes, it tastes as if you took a jasmine flower and stuffed it into your mouth
Mint chocolate chip-Chocolate chip with real tasting mint! It's not that artificial tasting mint but the mint plant taste!
Saffron rose Pistachio- This is a delectable that only pistachio lovers will enjoy! It tastes like a rose with real pistachio flavoring! By the way they do have a pistachio only flavor for those of you who would like to take a pass on the saffron rose flavor.
Butter pecan- Yes this is the bomb, sweet and savory just like a butter pecan pie!

They have many more flavors including gelato. Although the price is kinda expensive, it is worth it because these flavors are unlike any other flavors that you will find. Not only flavors, but flavors that actually taste like flavors they are supposed to taste like!
They also have baked goods ready to grab on the go which includes muffins, peanut butter cookies and a couple other ones!
But be aware even if this place is good, you have to be ready for the long lines that somehow appear out of nowhere!

Every flavor I tried was amazing. They get bonus points for giving my toddler a free scoop when she dropped hers on the sidewalk outside. We always stop here when we visit Nevada City.

This ice cream shop is awesome. Always have to stop here when walking around Nevada City on a hot day. Some of the ice cream options they have are made in house and they are the best. Very tasty treats!

Love this place, especially since it has moved to a beautiful larger facility. Delicious gourmet ice cream, friendly staff and the owners are awesome. They gave me a discount, when personally purchasing gift certificates for a graduating class...I didn't ask for it, and was very pleasantly surprised when I picked up the kids' certificates....a hand written note from one of the owners w/a discount. 💗

We had 3 flavors served for my son's wedding with 150 people and EVERYONE was thrilled with the flavors (mint chip, honey vanilla, bittersweet chocolate). THIS is what ice cream should taste like. What a perfect dessert for a wedding!

My girlfriend literally will not shut up about the lemon custard ice cream. Thanks a lot Treats, now she's like a crack addict asking every 15 minutes for her fix. The pistachio cone was top notch in my opinion. Thank you.
