Tidal Coffee

Great coffee & pastries. You cannot bit the price given this coffee shop is located right at Plaza level of Monterey hotel & spa. I ordered a breakfast burrito for $8 & it was soooooo good.

The Coffee is quite good and the pastries, though "fresh baked" in an industrial sense, combine with fast internet, plentiful tables in and out, and a stunning view of the bay to make this place well worth going to instead of Starbucks for a morning coffee. It is attached, ownership-wise, to the hotel it is in and the selection of goods and decor are more market research than thoughtful and from the heart but, whatever, I'm flying from my 3 shot medium latte and not being bothered after sitting here for an hour so I can forgive a little lack of corporate imagination.

The coffee is really terrible. Like previous comments it tastes burnt. Wifi didn’t work either. Not worth the visit.

ALMOND CROISSANT IS THE BOSS!! it’s probably the best one I’ve ever had - crispy exterior with TONS of almond clusters, smooth creamy almond butter in the middle. Wow, I’m drooling now.

Very nice staff and very clean shop. We ordered an ice white mocha, 2 small chocolate milks and an iced caramel macchiato - yummy! No complaints with the coffee. In addition the blueberry muffins were good and the fresh fruit was ripe and enough to share. Drinking our coffee overlooking the ocean was a nice start to our day. 🌊

Service and coffee was good, prices fair. Chocolate croissant was ok, parking sparse.

If you love coffee, DO NOT come here. It’s the worst tasting coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Especially do not get the cold brew. It tastes like dirty tap water.
