A calming and peaceful place with great coffee. Visiting this place is a great way to start your vacation at Monterey. The entire place is intricately designed which makes you feel as if you are walking into a local place in Kathmandu, Nepal. The music is melodious and refreshing.

$3.50 for a 16 oz. tea. Nothing fancy, just a cup of hot water and pre-bagged tea. That price is absurd, not worth coming back.

Hidden espresso Gem in downtown Monterey. Clean and charismatic, very old building, with maze-like interior, they have several top shelf baristas who just get it right. If you're lucky, you'll get some espresso Magic from the owner himself, sort of like winning the lottery! My favorite is the half-Breve/ half almond milk Latte, try it! Highest recommendation.

Nepali/Indian themed cafe. They serve home made Indian tea(chai) which is a must try. There’s outdoor seating. Great place for a coffee & breakfast if you ever visit Monterey. Especially if you’re in mood for something exotic.

East Village Coffee has new owners and it is absolutely wonderful. Ryan is friendly and attentive and the outdoor patio is wonderful to sit on and read a book while enjoying a latte and a doughnut. The chai latte is one of the best I’ve ever had. This will be my new weekly stop for a treat! Service is great, drinks and sweets are delicious and prices are great. 10/10 recommended for the city of Monterey.
