The Queen Bean Coffee House

Love this place. There are 2 ladies, the taller white lady is sweet and understanding. Hispanic lady needs to work on people skills. We study here often and she made a remark to one of us.

Where has this place been my whole life? Super cute and totally great place!! The speciality mocha drinks are AMAZING! The grounds and interior decor are just perfect for a coffee "date". Lived this place! Will come back often!!

Wonderful employees and a great virtual office for my schoolwork during the pandemic. I love the Queen Bean and the Queens that work here hahaha

This place has a very nice ambiance, but the service was terrible and unwelcoming. We waited 15-minutes while the person behind the counter made a sandwich and never acknowledged the waiting customers. She then took the sandwich to its owner then returned, cleaned up a bit then walked over and said “What do you need” Very dry and very rude. The service continued to be as poor as when it started. We stayed because we needed to kill time and study as we waited for someone, but I will not return. It was not a welcoming customer friendly place. The food was mediocre. Nothing special.

This place has a very ladi back atmosphere. I love the open mic night on sundays and its a generally nice place to sit down and enjoy a coffee with friends. Its a literal house thats been converted into a coffee and eats place with nice decorations inside and out. I would reccommend for taking pictures and holding small events at

It seems like there are a lot of rave reviews concerning this place and the food. I tried this place twice and both times I was let down by the service and food. The iced coffee I received was bland and the food I received was dry and tasteless. The barista (she had dark brown hair, short and a little heavy) seemed to be counting down the time until she could clock out.

It's a cute place for studying or a get-together, but I wouldn't go for the food or service.

I've always enjoyed this spot but today was different. I can't recall a time where a server has ever been rude, disrespectful, and toxic toward me. My friend had told me about her bad experience a time she came before with this lady but I didn't believe her till today. Honestly, if you see a lady with a tattoo shaped arrow facing down by her chest with black hair we'll be ready to be treated bad or leave so your perception of this establishment does not change. The whole experience felt that she enjoyed being mean toward the customers because it did not only happen to us. I just wanted to caution future or returning customers if you walk through the door and see her well good luck.

BEST COFFEE HOUSE IN MODESTO!!!!! I forget that I'm even in Modesto when I'm there. I LOVE the feel to it! I love the people, the regulars, the shows, and the baristas! Sylvia and Kevin are soooo amazing!!! They have poetry night every first Tuesday of the month, open mic on Sundays (not sure if every Sunday or not) and other events. The outside has a little cute porch with tables, back yard patio with tables, cute bird bath, SO MANY PLANTS and greenery (that's what makes it soo unique and special). It's soo peaceful and relaxing. My favorite hangout place or study place. Also, their sandwiches and snacks are delicious as well as their COFFEE😍

Today was a challenge at Queen Bean. I tried ordering coffee inside twice but was unable to as I waited for an attendant for several minutes but no one came. It seemed they had an event outside in the back patio. I was able to order my drink and the staff said they'd bring out to me, but about 15 minutes went by with no drink. I found my drink inside on the counter. Othewise, my study session on the front patio was pleasant listening to the water fountain and enjoying the fall weather.
