Em-tea

I go here a lot with my roommates and I feel I definitely can finally make a review based on the average of how they do. Consistency doesn’t happen here. What you get one day does not taste the same like it does at a Starbucks. I always used to get the same thing, Strawberry Bobba with black Tea and milk. Never tasted the same every time I got it. In the picture I requested a raspberry slush with milk no sugar at all. Was told it could be done. Well it definitely has sugar and definitely no milk. So I cant drink my $5.00 drink. I had a gastric bypass and it will make me sick. So it’s a little frustrating when I drive all the way from Atwater to get no consistency and wrong orders.

Very good variety of teas that I like. Even though I'm more of a juice person than tea, this place does not disappoint when it comes to the quality of the drinks. It is also a good place to hang out with friends and study. Sanitation is fantastic and I always love the scenery of this place.

It was the first Boba place I tired back in 2015, and it is still the best! Service is amazing and the Boba is great!

Quality went down the drain when the owners family members (the female) started working less. Tried it several times made by other employees and it's just not as good as before. I'll still order here but only when she's working because the boba is cooked through and doesn't taste as watered down.

I’m always impressed with the quality of the tea here and it’s pretty consistent.
The ambiance is perfect for studying or writing. Even when business picks up, the sound level is a lot more comfortable than other local cafes.
Service is always friendly and they keep the place pretty clean.

Despite some bad reviews gave this place a try.. I wanted to try the osmanthius tea but they were out, so tried the Kwan Yin green tea, no milk (they were out of coconut milk— trying to cut out dairy) no sugar because I know red beans will be sweet already & added chia seeds. I’m surprised and wonderfully satisfied with my order. Was afraid I’d hate it, like some new places, and water money, but the drink was the refreshing thing I needed and they delivered.
Oh, and you must try their delicious macaroons. I got tiramisu and citrus.

Fun, easy-going atmosphere with good service and fresh tea. It's not one of those pretentious places either, which is a plus in my opinion.

So good! I’ve been to many different boba places in the Bay Area and down south. None of them were as good as Em Tea here in Merced I’m so glad we have this place!

Always a great experience at Em-tea! Coconut slush with coconut milk was delicious!
