El Mono Motel & Latte Da Coffee Cafe

Very disappointing. Basic for over £100 is a rip off. The bed was like concrete and I swear to god the pillows were just pillow cases they were that thin. I’d say I was woken at 7am with the noise but I never slept. The only friendly person was the cleaning lady who obviously did a good job as the place was clean, well done you earned the place an extra star. Id like to say the whole place reminded me of a hostel but that would be insulting a lot of hostels. Bite the bullet and pay the bit extra for one of the other local hotels, they can’t possibly be any worse.

Okay. Best sandwich ever. You guys have to try the Hammond sandwich. Oh my god. So good. I didn't stay there so I can't tell you what the rooms were like. The coffee is good, but they could use more choices.

Stayed one night here in early October. Room No 4 was minimalist in scale, only one electrical outlet, but very clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed, quiet, almost silent night. Charming grounds with gold finches and sunflowers. Fast and free Wi-Fi. Great coffee and blueberry muffins at the Cafe. The building is ancient but the operation shows much care, sense of beauty, thoughtfulness.

Lovely place! It’s a somewhat old fashioned motel with small rooms and shared bathrooms, but everything is impeccably clean and the staff is more friendly than anywhere seen on our trip ! Also lovely cafe with outstanding breakfast and snacks !

Oh my god... where to begin?! The latte da (as in latte dee latte da!😂) cafe is so goooood! I was staying in a nearby lodge with my crew for the family Yosemite twip and we ate so much coffee from here!!!! It was so good! My favorite was the iced latte (da)!!! At first, the steep price of 4.75 was daunting, but when I had my first sip, I came to the sudden realization that the coffee I was drinking was priceless. The homie behind the espresso machine knows what’s up!!! Sadly, I am too broke to buy any of the sandwiches, but I’m sure they are 🎶yummy dee yummy da 🎶. I could go on and on. The seating is also AMAZING, with many seating options outside and in the shade or sun. Very romantic for a nice date, or could also work very well for family! Awesome. I love you latte da cafe! Bon voyage!!!

Beautiful location in Lee Vining with quaint but efficient rooms. Extremely friendly staff, warm atmosphere, good company, and tasty food and coffee at the cafe. Good views of Mono Lake are anywhere from 5-15 minutes away.

This Motel is locates on the main road in Lee Vining. The staff at reception were friendly. The room was basic, which is what was described and we expected.

The cafe attached to the motel offered cake and coffee plus many other things for breakfast as well as for passers by.

The garden around this motel had hummingbirds in the plants which was interesting.

The reason we gave this 2 stars is that one if the beds had a blood again on the sheet which was off putting.

It's a quiet little motel that's well taken care of. Beautiful grounds give it a relaxing feel... Not like other motels. Food, gas all within walking distance. Not to forget all the sight seeing you can in town (mono lake, Tufas, mammoth lakes, historic Bodie).
Rooms are petite, so light packing encouraged. Cute little cafe Latte Da that's attached to the motel... So it's easily overlooked.

Super Cooll, go to spot when your close to Lee Vining, the perfect chill out spot. Nice porch, lots if outdoor table and chairs, friendly staff, super delicious and healthy food!! The rooms look sweet too, we camp so haven't stayed there yet.

I did not stay in the motel but went into the café 3 days in a row during my last stay. The coffee was very good and they bake a lot of gluten free products including a delicious brownie.
