Brew Coffee Spot

Great spot to catch up with friends. We really loved the avocado toast too, lucky to get it before kitchen closed at 3pm. It would be great to have food available whenever they are open. Great tea and coffee.

It is a very busy and crowded place with uncomfortable seating. I felt very rushed by the staff and it was overall not a comfortable experience. This could be it was a Saturday, but still very stressful environment.

I tried their lemon açaí berry soda. It was fine but nothing special and certainly not worth almost three dollars.

I might give it another shot another day and actually try their coffee and maybe food. I’ll update the review if it’s any better.

I LOVE Brew Spot!!! The owners are delightful and so is every person I’ve encountered working there is too!!! So happy to see that it was PACKED on Wednesday. I think their food is great, coffee excellent, and playing games while relaxing is so much fun!!! Great work, Brew Spot!!

I love Brew! The food is fresh and service is friendly. My daughter (3) and I go every Friday morning to treat ourselves and hang out. She gets a warm blueberry muffin with hot chocolate and I the breakfast sandwich on croissant with an Americano (a modification on the sandwich...I swap the ciabatta...perfect cheat breakfast!) . I will say I was disappointed last Friday. I sent the hubs to get our order to go and they refused to give him my usual croissant stating that they NEVER substitute. Obviously they do and have for me...for months. They finally conceded and charged him an extra.$2 for the change (he offered to pay extra to begin with). Annoying and unnecessary- a waste of time and 2 phone calls to me, so I'm taking away 1 star. But, overall Brew is a good place and we'll continue to go at least for the blueberry muffins.

Nice clean atmosphere, some tables have outlets, good selection of food and drinks. Friendly and attentive. Patio seating available. Music on Friday nights. Real nice neighborhood coffee shop that blows Starbucks away.

A little pricey first time here they ran out of ingredients for both the things I was going to order. However the owner was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure we will come back. Coffee is fantastic and I really like the uniqueness of some of the drinks. I like hanging out here for a bit on weekend mornings with my son.

Cute, cozy coffee shop in La Mesa. However, my friend ordered the acai bowl which they didn't have because their kitchen wasn't open (but it was New Year's day). So then my friend ordered a green tea which they also didn't have. Despite that I enjoyed the atmosphere and the employees were nice. I would definitely come back in the future.

I have been to Brew Spot three times. It has a down to earth vibe that you don't get at Starbucks or Peetes. Coffee is very good. Their pastries are good but there is room for improvement. It's a relaxed place to hang out and visit with friends.

Fantastic coffee, and good pastries as well. Danishes are a must. Only thing is, you may want to go on weekdays - It's quite packed otherwise! But for good reason, of course. Really appreciate that there's good coffee shops in abundance.

A good place is always busy. A better place plans for that. There is one cash register/cashier so both times I have been there I stood in line for over ten minutes. Today once I was able to order the cashier got it wrong. The reason why is she was responsible for taking all the orders, ringing them up AND THEN she had to prepare the food that came out of the pastry case. This poor girl didn't know if she was coming or going. She was competent. Just over worked. The manager/owner was in that back playing around with some of the help. If I was the cashier I would have walked out.
