Tried the coffee on the Saturday morning market and loved it! I also bought a bag of espresso beans and got to enjoy them for weeks back home. It was really nice to get something more special, while California is mostly about filtered coffee that tastes about the same everywhere.

I know a bagel shop where they won’t toast your bagel. I know a deli that won’t cut your sandwich in half. And now I know a coffee shop that won’t grind half of the bag of beans you just bought. “All or nothing, sir.”
Why? 🤷♂️ I’m guessing because like me, many people are in Joshua Tree for the weekend, and want some fresh-ground coffee to get them through a few days, before taking their remaining, unground bounty back home. And JTCC was like “nah, too much of this, enough, nope.” But if that’s the case, seems weird to make it a policy to refuse a service that lots of your customers are requesting.
Don’t get me wrong: the coffee is excellent. Both the espresso and the beans. Really, really good. It just bums me out when businesses decide the answer to a simple request is “no,” when it could so easily be “yes.”

We went to Joshua Tree Coffee on our last day up at the park and ordered some ground coffee as well as lattes to go. The coffee had been roasted THE DAY BEFORE and smelled amazing and has since been amazing when brewed at home. The lattes were also great and we took them to go as we visited the day of the new shutdown regulations. Staff was super friendly. Will definitely go again when im back up that way.

I ordered a bag of their espresso roast coffee and was blown away by their attention to detail, customer service and friendly staff, and as always, roasted coffee of the highest quality.
I mentioned that the bag I had bought the week prior was not of the same quality I was used to from them and the manager overheard this and immediately worked to resolve the issue by grinding the coffee themself. JTCC is hardworking and dedicated to serving their customers with care and making things right.
**tip: visit their store on a non-weekend for the best customer care and for a more relaxed, less busy vibe. Always delicious coffee anyways!!

Overrated. Drunk a load of coffee on our trip to California (usually cortados or espressos). This was the worst we had. Maybe the barista was on work experience or something. Coffee tasted overextracted and bitter. Horrible dark roast. Probably matters less if you’re dumping a load of milk and syrup into it. Preferred the coffee at the place opposite.

I ordered a latte, but it seemed like they gave me something that more closely resembled a cortado or macchiato. Hardly any milk and 4 shots of espresso, but it was okay because i was so amped on caffeine that i could hear colors. they also have great merch

First and last visit…ordered a chai, but they ran out, so I asked for a mocha…after waiting for what seem like a much longer wait than normal, to end up the wrong order and get a latte. Let me them know but woman said she didn’t see it (clearly because it was punched in incorrectly…) — tried to rectify with a very small amount of mocha sauce instead of just making me a new coffee..wasn’t a good replacement…coffee tasted burnt and not worth the price. Not sure what the hypes all about..

Wow! This place blew me away.
Stopped here after visiting Joshua Tree National Park with my family and had a blast. The coffee is really great (I got a decaf iced latte with organic half and half), and between the four of us we tried a bit of everything, all of which was very good.
The store also has a decent selection of local chocolates, vegan cookies, etc.
In addition to the drinks and food, they have a large outdoor patio with plenty of space to hang out and relax. Lots of seating and great ambiance.
Will definitely be coming back here on future trips!
PS: they have some cool hats and merch that looked nice.
