Classic diner food + vegan options. Get breakfast here before you go to Joshua tree. The servings are perfect for holding you over until the late afternoon. Whatever you get make sure it includes the black beans!

Amazing food! Everything was so tasty. Some of the best fries and mac and cheese I've had.

A really cool diner with tons of personality and nice staff. The food is great but watch out for long waits. They know how to prepare food vegan and have some great options with Just Egg and a bunch of replacements like soyrizo and polenta. The Hell Burger is great, and not spicy despite the name.

Stopped by this place on the way to Arizona. LOVED IT! They were extremely nice and super quick! Great environment and music! Best breakfast my family and I’ve had in a long time !!

I love this little place and went out of my way to come here when I found myself in the area a year after I originally visited. The Hell Burger is great and punny and the best seitan I’ve ever had. I’m sure I’ll find myself again here soon!

The food is great, but the service needs some improvement. Once your food comes the servers never check on you again. Other than that, it's a great spot for vegetarians and meat eaters alike, as there are plenty of meat and seitan options!

What a huge difference greeting someone with a smile when they walk into a business can make. When I walked into the cafe the clerk Panupong N just stared at me blankly. He didn't smile, no greeting, just an impatient, irritated, blank stare. I greeted him and sat myself. Immediately that negative energy was enough to put a damper on the dinning experience. He took my order and there was absolutely nothing polite, welcoming or pleasant about the service. The food was great but this guys attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and will be the reason I don't return. It's a shame. The place was nice but I don't want to go anywhere were people treat you like an irritation for just walking through the door. There are tuns of cafe's on that same block. If you're someone who enjoys being treated decently try one of those spots instead.

The food here was fantastic. Generous portions and great flavor. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. My only problems were with the service and the menu. We were in at a time that the restaurant was not busy and it took way too long for us to get served. Also, I’d like to see the dinner/lunch menu to be expanded. There aren’t too many options. With that being said, the breakfast menu is very extensive. Great experience overall. Definitely try a brownie!

The food is decent and hearty here.
We got the country breakfast (eggs, biscuit and gravy, home fried potatoes) and the breakfast burrito. Put your name down early as the wait is currently around an hour (between Christmas and New Year).

Ok look, their food was good and their service was friendly. But they have GOT to get a handle on dealing with disruptive customers. We were there for about an hour. When we arrived, there was a group of 4 guys seated across the dining room from us—they were blaring videos on their phone speaker. It was so loud, listening to the obnoxious, tinny sounds were like nails on a chalkboard and could be heard throughout the dining area. They eventually left, which we we’re grateful for. But then, a bit later, another party came in and did the same thing. This rude, inconsiderate behavior cannot be tolerated as it ruins the atmosphere for everyone else in the restaurant.
Then, when our check arrived, the tip calculator on the ticket was wrong (higher than it should have been). Now, as a practice, we always tip a at least 20%, so it’s not that we don’t want to compensate the server well. We just don’t appreciate shady business practices like this. Gratuity percentages are customarily calculated on pre-tax totals, so that is what should be represented on the tab. In this case, the restaurant used the post-tax total to recommend the tip percentage.
While some may opt to tip on the post-tax total, it is not how tips are customarily calculated, and that’s not how they are taxed by the IRS. In our case, had we merely followed the calculations on the ticket, we would have been duped into tipping another 10% on top of the 20% of our total. Shady af.
This was not cool, and shows a lack of ethics that we won’t be supporting in the future.
