Bob's Coffee Shop

Bob's is a comfortable, clean diner on Hughson main street. They have 3 specials for each meal. But I always have a breakfast at any time. They are very busy on Sunday morning and noon, but if you wait until midafternoon you may be alone. I love the fried potatoes and they make a variety of egg scrambles. Friendly, good food!

Called to check waiting time for 5 people, per them; 10-15 minutes for a booth. We get there in 10 minutes and we are told to wait outside because they have nothing until 45 min. And it's too crowded. They need to be a little more honest on their times. It's best to say the truth that way people don't get disappointed.

Very impressed on my first visit, ordered Bob's burger and a side salad and it was nothing less than great. Was cooked how I asked and everything tasted and looks fresh. Will definitely come back.

Most servers are extremely friendly, and In non peak hours, very tentative, but when it gets busy...the wait is over 30-40min at a time and kids always seem to get served last.

We are used to feeding our children 1st, otherwise we wait our food gets cold.

In addition, they always seem to be missing or out of something on the menu, and my eggs are NEVER correct - doesn't matter how I order them, and toast is always dry (strange). So I have to remember to state EXTRA butter, to get some butter, and I stopped ordering eggs there. If I want great eggs, made perfectly 1st shot, I go to Huckleberrys in Turlock.

Best to go in wee early morning hours or hour before close weekdays for full, prompt service snd no wait.

Over all - good , friendly staff. With 2-3 that are extremely courteous and always smiling, which keeps us coming back. Warm welcomes and "thank you" when we leave is very nice.

Good food. Cheap prices. My favorite one is in Hughson. The Ceres and Modesto one on Yosemite Blvd are pretty small and fairly crowded most of the time so I usually get it to go if I order from there. But when I want to dine-in, I drive to Hughson.

Everyone knows of Bob's Cafe aka Modesto Cafe, and everyone I know that talks about it, always has positive comments to say about this place so keep up the good work! 👍

Place was nice and clean and looked good. Recieved our drinks and never saw the waitress again. After waiting 20 minutes we gave up and moved on. Left money on the counter to cover the drinks.

Good Service! Quality food for a cheap price! I just wish they opened earlier than 6am in the mornings! I like to meet friends & business colleagues for breakfast at 5am so that I'm finished in time to get to work by 7am.

Probably about 5 times now at least! Chilaquiles is great!

Good food,great service,best prices for breakfast in stanislaus county.The Works is everything you need for breakast on one plate. Only thing that would make it better would be to add ortega chilis to the menu for omlettes and burgers!

Great service, great food. Normally come here for breakfast... Get huge portions and can never eat my entire meal!! Been coming here for years and will continue!!
