Professional place. Been a barista in Kauai for 5 years at a cafe where you get to know the source/ roaster and it inspired me to always try roasters in west coast. So far this place wins for price and quality. Tried many places between Seattle and SD. So far only tried the lightest and the Italian. But wow.
Bean is obviously freshly roasted with consistent color and size throughout (no pieces). They have a wide variety of high quality ORGANIC and FRESH ROASTED coffee at a killer price. Highly recommend, it beats my local goto place where many swear by them. Will return.
We love Green Star Coffee! Great coffee, fun service, and I love the Peanuts style psychiatry stand (Covid shield) at the door. Thank you for offering fresh roasted, organic coffee.
I just bought a couple of pounds of whole beans from this establishment. Based on all the reviews I've read, the beans will result in good coffee and be worth the pain of dealing with this place. It's hard to find. I found it, though, and stood outside a small door that warned "employees only." An employee saw me and asked if he could help me. I walked in and told him what I was looking for. He was affable enough but not particularly customer-service oriented. Another person appeared and berated me for walking in the wrong door. I walked out and all the way around the commercial building and found the right door (which is about as inviting as the place you talk to a relative who is in jail). Through the plexiglass, I completed the extraordinarily expensive coffee bean purchase. Hope it was all worth it.
Accidentally ran into your coffee while trying to satisfy a "coffee urge attack" while in N. Lake Tahoe, and was pleasantly surprised. It's the best coffee I've had in a long, long time. The next day I tried two more different Green Star coffees, and the initial impression was only strengthened. My daughter, an incurable coffee hound, had the same reaction. Now the problem: how and where do I find more of this coffee in the S.F. Bay Area?
I love to support local businesses especially because this particular business sells an excellent product that is both organic and fair trade certified.

We like French Press and can tell the difference with Green Star. We have a couple of favorites and so haven't even tried their entire selection.

The best organic coffee. Friendly staff. I always get the Italian Roast ground for drip machines.
