Gingerbread Mansion Inn

This was our first time staying at the Gingerbread Mansion Inn and we will definitely be back! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the rooms are to die for. You can't beat the views and the atmosphere. My fiance and I stayed here over the past weekend (we checked in the day he proposed actually) and it added to an already very special weekend. We will be return guests for years to come, no question! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because in our particular room there was no hot water in the shower for some reason and that was a bit of a nuisance. But the building is old, you've got to expect some quirks. And the hot water worked everywhere else so we weren't in too much trouble. :-) We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Victorian mansion in the heart of Humboldt county. Haunted probably, but I was unable to detect any ghosts even with my advanced knowledge of phantasm detection. I have watched 3 seasons of Ghost Hunters.

Birthday weekend in Ferndale. Beautiful public areas, good breakfasts, nice rooms, and we may or may not have met the ghost of a young girl (very friendly). Local shops were wonderful. And the VI restaurant was great.

Off the path of the 101, this brightly colored B&B can be seen from the main drag of the tranquil town. The bed was tall, needing a step stool to get in, but I slept like royalty. Our innkeeper, cook and hostess was very jovial and anticipated our needs. The house itself is amazing and well kept. When we drive the coast again, we will return.

The Ginger Bread Mansion was an amazing place to stay. Really clean and comfortable. Ferndale is a perfect town to spend a weekend in.

We stayed in the Gingerbread Mansion in May this year. Our room was dirty and had ants in the bedroom and bathroom, we found ant traps under the bed and the bedding did not smell or look clean. the room was dusty and overall dirty.

Decent stay. The mansion and it's interior are unique. Breakfast was a bit lackluster. The bathtub in the Rose Suite was leaking.

My sister in law had her wedding here. Beautiful place. We stayed the night in one of the rooms and wish we stayed the test of our vacation here.

B&Bs don't get any better than this. Large, very comfortable room, lots of public space inside the house (mansion), afternoon tea, wine and lovely goodies, and an incredible breakfast in the spacious dining room with other guests. We would come back in a heartbeat, and probably will.

The history of this place is unbelievable and the service is the intimate and wonderful. The guests are a delight too. Thank you Angel and Eileen for a truly unique and romantic experience.
