Historic Hiouchi Cafe

My cousin told me to stop for a giant breakfast. She wasn't kidding! Portions ate huge and delicious. Service was excellent even at capacity on a Sunday morning.

We’ve eaten there about 4 times in the last 2 months and have not been disappointed yet, once for breakfast and 3 times for dinner. I’m a local and we are so blessed to have this little gem of a place in our back yard. Everything is fresh and all my meals have been flavored perfectly. The Hiouchi omelette I had on Sunday was to die for. Those guys working the grill know how to cook and Kevin and his staff are the best 👍🏽. Won’t be the last time you see us. PS: great portions too. You will not be disappointed in the food or the service I recommend this restaurant to anybody that is visiting and of course the locals know about this.

Soooo good. Made this pregnant lady very happy! Everyone was so attentive and kind. Husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I ordered the western bacon burger. We split each, and it was so flavorful!!! The burger and sando were enormous, and the fries were perfect. Definitely saving the half I took home to eat for a midnight snack!!

We arrived around 4ish, right before a little bit of a rush. I love how the staff anticipates the needs of everyone without giving the impression that it's a burden. There are a few other things on the menu that looked (and smelled) so good, I'll definitely be coming back.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good as were the portions. Inside and outside seating available. Cold beer and the best service in del Norte county.

This was excellent food and I honestly ate better here than most of my whole trip, for less. I would recommend it to anyone who felt like they needed a good home cooked meal. And the Dole pineapple whip is to die for.
