I cute little shop in historic downtown Colfax. I LOVE the bagel bombs! Yummy bagel-like baked goods with various fillings like bacon, sausage, cheddar or jalapeños, instead of toppings.

Best pastrami sandwich I have found in a 35-mile radius. The meat was surprisingly lean and piled high on a homemade rosemary roll.

I am going back for the bagel bombs ($4) which come in various flavors and appear to require 2 of them for a satisfactory meal.

Such a cute coffee shop. I love the little homey touches throughout the cafe. The iced skinny vanilla latte was smooth and flavorful. My only suggestion is taller cups and more ice. Also, offering nonfat milk. It's a great spot for coffee dates. It's less busy than the chain coffee shop and you could walk around the historic area, while getting to know each other better. Some of the best pastries I've ever had. Nice variety. Comparable or less than Starbucks, and better quality. Standouts are the scones and bagel bombs. I prefer the ones with egg to balance the sodium in the bacon and sausage. They stick to the ribs! Oh and the quiche! Hubby loves the biscuits and gravy too!

Our family LOVES this place! Everything here is wonderful. The bagel bombs are fantastic and the cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!! Best scones ever and I'm not that crazy about scones.

I just picked up a birthday cookie for my daughter, it's one of the best cookies I've ever had!

I got the caramel mocha with oat milk. It was delicious! The espresso is super good! The blueberry lemon scone is a must try!

Colfax used to have a number of good restaurants with high-quality food. All the other ones - the ones with big billboards on I-80 - have stopped serving quality food. They have chosen to take customers for granted, allowing their prime locations to keep them in business rather than return visits from satisfied customers. My husband and I stopped eating in Colfax, and have been driving all the way to Auburn whenever we want a meal out. But never again! We had an incredible lunch at Grandma C’s Kitchen. Their pastries are to die for. I haven’t had a cinnamon roll this good since before my great grandmother passed away. And the hot sandwiches were as flavorful as any you could get in New York City. If you’re looking for a good meal in Colfax, pray that you are hungry between 7 AM and 3 PM, because there’s really no other place to go but here. Thank you for taking care of us locals, and not taking us for granted! We are deeply grateful.

Great scones, fresh and homemade and specialty coffee. Just a 1 minute from the freeway.

Really really good place to grab some coffee and fresh baked goodies. The young lady behind the counter is always very nice, attentive and makes great coffee. I also highly suggest trying some of the cookies, they are the best I have ever had and consistently delicious.
