Mike employs local athletes and the food is great. I’ve eaten there for over 50 years. Best taco sauce anywhere, tostada, taco are my favorites. House dressing on the tostada!

Went here since we were in Chico and I hadn't had this place since they left Redding CA in the 90's I think it was????

Anyway I remember the chips and salsa being grab as you go but looks like times have changed since a server brought us a squeeze salsa bottle and small serving of chips..
The food was ok, you could tell it was premade and just microwaved back to hot again. It was ok and the price was right.. was less than 25 bucks for the wife and I..
Would I go back? Probably not but it wasn't horrible by any means just not quite what I remembered when I was a young growing boy in Redding CA...

I almost feel like giving it 2 stars but my childhood memories won't let me go that low..
3stars is what it gets.

A true Chico experience. Don't expect the best authentic Mexican food; this is more the family atmosphere and kept to same recipes and dining experience for 50 years or so.

Always good food, quick, and at unbeatable prices. Chips are always free!

This is a taco salad it’s literally all lettuce some beef and a handful of cheese, that’s a joke

The new owners are doing a great job of keeping it like it was, why mess with a good thing. If you want some good food that is inexpensive and lots of flavors, stop on in.

Very reasonably priced. No cell phone service inside which was kinda nice.

I love La Comida! I have been going to this restaurant for the past 40 years. It is the perfect blending of American and Mexican food. All of the flavors are top-notch! I especially love the chicken tostada, with extra Ranch. A bowl of guacamole for the Fantastic chips, and the cheese enchilada meal for later! First time was really good. This time both of us felt sick. We had to get our own chips and find the salsa. Another customer told us about the cabinet. And water came out instead of soda. It was a disappointment. And the prices were up.
