Beatniks | Coffee House & Breakfast Joint

Bit pricey for me, but the food is good. Portions are big. Location is large and can fit larger groups of people without overrunning the business. Coffee is from Cal Java, which is not my favorite but for no particular reason than personal preference.

Biscuits and Gravy are so delicious! The staff here are so kind, friendly and down to earth. Awesome atmosphere and food 😋

They do have some good food here. Their espresso drinks are decent. The prices aren't exactly cheap. I would say it's pretty average that breakfast and drinks for 1 would be at least $20. I've been in this business many many times, and I've experienced a few times where I felt that the management was not very friendly or thoughtful.

Great coffee and pastries! they are pretty fast at making lattes which is so nice when I have stopped early in the am before work.

Their food is great but the prices are a bit high. I really like the shady outdoor seating area. This place is tastey, cozy and great for families.

This was the first restaurant I went to after the sheltering-in-place. We still had to sit outside, and the food was amazing. They also have good coffee.

I cannot for the life of me understand why the lunch menu is not available on the weekend. It's the only time I'm able to eat here and I can't even get lunch??

My friend took me here for my first time yesterday (9/30/22), and I was beyond pleasantly surprised! I have celiac disease, and she knows finding places with good GF practices and food can be difficult.
The GF bread for regular and french toast was Devine! The John Denver omelet was one of the tastiest I've ever had, the flavor was fantastic! The breakfast potatoes with my omelet weren't my fave, but given everything else, I've no real complaints!
Had a brunch time meal and I told my husband that any and every date he wanted to take me on here would be fine by me!

Everything here is amazing. I ate here for years multiple times per week before I moved to Washington. I have Celiac disease and someone told me that Beatniks had tons of gluten free options. Indeed they do! All their gluten free items, and believe me I tried them all, are amazing. In my opinion, Beatniks is the best breakfast and lunch place in all of Chico. Also, the Mike's (there are 2!) and Jamie are so friendly and make you feel like family. I really miss the people and wonderful food.
