Adorable quaint little spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of room for larger groups. The inside has a cute rustic design and the outdoor is in the parking lot which I prefer to places where outdoor seating is right on the street. They have plenty of options, including healthier and vegan options, so it should be easy to find something yummy for anyone. Coffee is great! Parking can be a little hard when it’s packed but I haven’t had any issues finding parking within the lot. Recommend everyone to try and check it out :).

I like my oats simple. I'm not one for fancy things, but I am particular about oats. I called in advance to see if they sold steel cut oats. They stated they do. When I ordered, they asked if I wanted an accoutrement of berries, nuts and yogurt. I like my oats plain. Oats cooked correctly do not require additional ingredients. When they rung up this bowl of oats, it was shy of 7 dollars. Let me repeat that. Seven. Dollars. I inquired about the price, given that I did not want the other ingredients. They would not adjust the price. To add insult to injury, I got rolled oats. Here's some perspective: 2lbs of top shelf organic rolled oats costs 4.99. I got 6oz of mushy, over cooked, probably Quaker oats. If you're looking to get your feelings and ego massaged by a pretentious, over priced, snowflake harboring cafe, this place is for you. If you want a simple, quality breakfast, go elsewhere.

I think of a beatnik as a cross between a bohemian and a rebel.

The good...
Gourmet food and coffee. The people who work here are hip and Beatnik’s is conveniently located off Hwy 99 and Hwy 32.

The bad... If you want large portions head to Morning Thunder, Beatnik’s has smaller portions but the portion is more the right size for healthier eating, you full but not stuffed.

The Ugly...The price reflects the quality of food. Totally worth the price for a gourmet food in my opinion.

Took our family here for final breakfast during a 2022 trip to Chico. Great atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

the place has great ambiance and atmosphere! the only reason for the 3 stars is the biscuits n gravy were lacking flavor and felt like I ton of bricks in my stomach... gravy needs more sausage and flavor in my opinion...

Well I've been going here for years. It's still my favorite breakfast place in Chico. Fast service and low price just top it off. Even on mother's day weekend got food extremely fast.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Chico. Outdoor seating available. Great vegetarian omelets and an interesting twist on huevos rancheros.

So good I went back twice! This is a great Cafe with delicious food ( you can get anything vegetarian or meat!). They have a good selection of drinks and the staff are really friendly. Definitely check this place out!

Delicious food. Great Atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the "natural " Benedict and it was superb!! The coffee was delicious and robust and just what I needed. They had 4 other choices of Benedict's to choose from and I plan on trying all of them. As I was leaving a very nice lady behind the counter engaged with me and asked about my meal and made small talk and joked a bit it. It was Exsactly how i like to end a meal. I highly recommend this place for families
or couples or if your solo that works too. If your in chico stop in.

1st time today ... Easter 2021. The food is excellent and plentiful. Coffee was delicious. The personnel are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely go back!!
