Called in a takeout order. When I got there, they had messed up and hadn't even started it. They didn't offer an apology or discount. After they finished making my order, they shortchanged me! I could tell I hadn't received the correct change for my payment so I asked for the receipt and then he admitted he owed more change back. Very disappointing.

EXCELLENT!! Hubby had mushroom pizza which he really liked. I had the pork ribs which fell off the bone; perfectly tender & the sauce was so DELICIOUS... highly recommend! The Silvestri Pinot Noir was very good. Christine, the hostess, was wonderfully friendly! Service very good also. Definitely will return!!

My husband and I were looking forward to go to corkscrew cafe because we saw how much rachel ray raved about it on her show. We were on a vacation in California, and were very disappointed with the experience. Our waiter started off by offering us expensive wine-and insisted that we buy some-when we refused, he gave us a look of great another cheap table to wait on. We ordered our food, and the food was good. No complaints there. Though what I really wanted to order was on the lunch menu-which they said they could no longer serve us. After dinner we went to see the old assortment of corkscrews on display-which gives the restaurant it's whimsy. My husband was going to take a picture of the display for our own vacation memories-and the waiter peeked in the room and turned the light of on the display so we couldn't take a picture and he walked away. I thought that was incredibly rude. We weren't going to post the picture anywhere. And so, the vibe I was given was that we were not good enough to eat there. Not a good feeling.

Friendly staff. Delicious food. Shared the Mexican corn pizza and pear salad with a friend. Good value. Beautiful outdoor area. Make sure to walk around.

We stopped for a cup of coffee on our way out of town. The latte was great & the service was very friendly. I’m sorry we did not notice this establishment while we were still in town.

One of my favorite places to go when in Carmel Valley for a meal. Their selection of pizza and pasta dishes is great. The back patio is wonderful to sit out on and enjoy the day.

What a wonderful place to dine, Alyssa is a Rockstar!!! We were so blessed to have, Alyssa, as our server. She is beautiful, professional, cool, calm and collected. She spent generous time with us, was equally as thoughtful and helpful. Food was excellent, good wine. We ordered the mussels and the osso buco; so well-prepared and delicious. The kitchen knows what they're doing. We enjoyed the ambiance, even the scent of the wood. The Maitre d, Christian, came by to introduce himself. We feel that the people of a restaurant are just as important as the food product. Makes one feel welcomed, comfortable, another reason to return. Go, have a great evening dining at the Corkscrew, a home away from home!

Had a wonderful lunch on a rainy day this week. The pear salad was exceptional, unlike any I've ever had. Included a half of a pear roasted with gorgonzola cheese and drizzled with honey and some of the most fresh petite lettuces ever. Give it a try!

Cute cafe for lunch with a nice backyard. We had some salads and pizza. We also enjoyed wine from a local winery.
