Philz Coffee

Overall, it is a nice place to spend some time having one of their drinks. Everyone working there is always pleasant. My only issue is the music which can be extremely loud and obnoxious. Do they do it to get people to leave quicker? Also, the names of the drinks are a bit confusing. What is the difference between with hints of plums and herbs and hints of peaches and acorns?? Isn’t coffee just coffee?? 🤔

Friendly staff, flavorful, high quality coffees, hand-brewed drip deliciousness. I'm finding it difficult to get past the Tantalizing Turkish (served with cardamom and a spring of mint) to explore much of the rest of the fabulous selections. Bakery goodies are from everyone's favorite. Winter hours update, 2022: Weekday close will scale back to 5:30 PM on November 15th; weekends maybe 6 PM but my pen ran out of ink and I'll have to double-check. The store always opens at 5:30 AM. I posted a photo with the special major holiday hours. Keep on drinking and share coffee with friends!

Great service. Great, no, amazing coffee! Don't pass up a chance to get a coffee from Philz. You won't go anywhere else.

They made my order hot instead of the iced order that I placed. Then they simply poured the hot drink over ice and served it like that. Horrible for a coffee shop to not know that dilutes the drink.

We stopped at Philz Coffee during our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley Marina, which was part of our Summer road trip from Tigard, OR through Northern California.

It has great energy and the staff is incredible! They are so friendly and helpful. I had Jacobs Wonderbar and was really impressed that the flavor comes completely from the beans!

My family each had different coffee drinks and they enjoyed them all. One of our kids had the quinoa wrap and said it was great.

If you are in the area, then give them a try!

I love Philz coffee I have been going since I was an undergraduate student. I went recently for a visit to the bay and it was still delicious. The iced mint mojito coffee is my favorite and my chocolate croissant was good as well!

Love the coffee here, though I forgot to change from the "house way" to less sugar when I ordered my iced mint mojito, so it was wayyyy too sweet for me and I had to dilute it later and split it over a few days. My favorites are the mocha tesora and the mint mojito, but the rose one is good if you like florals too. The food is overpriced and kinda meh, but satisfying. The vibes are great and the workers are stellar. Not really a good place to study bc the mudic is really really loud and there's not a ton of outlets, but it's still nice for a short time or to hang with people.
