Philz Coffee

Friendly barista made my day by making me a delicious cup of iced mint mojito! This is how a service business should be conducted. Compared to the horrible experience I had at Sightglass at the Ferry Building, this place is a godsend.

Love love love Philz. Best Baristas ever. And what's even more awesome now is that you can drink coffee out of a mug if you're having it in the coffee shop.

I can't rave enough about this place. I just love how they personalize a drink to your taste buds, and are so nice about it too. Also, if it's your first time there, they give you a complimentary baklava. Yay!

I love this location because it is so open and there is lots of outdoor space. Also parking is easy.

Ivan the Terrible (with the white hair) and three barristas with green hair who I call David's Angl's and the staff make for a great cup of coffee. Just like Phil did at the old Berkeley location when he offerred me life time Phils coffee for my dog Inna. The people who work, interesting blends, the other customers, and Phil (the name sake) make all the difference. And that is pretty much all I know.

What you expect from a well functioning Philz location. Consistent tasting, made reasonably quick with friendly service. App order and pickup makes them an option during quarantine.

Pour over coffee only, churned out with no love and too much water for the quantity of coffee. Money making operation- 5$ for production pour over, no espresso machine maintenance and the barista makes 5 at a time.

Ambiance okay, loud enough to visit with kids. That said my kid asked the cashier if there was recycling and she mocked him after saying no, then went on to laugh with the superfluous employee next to her.

Did not actually go in. I imagine they are great. My French press works for me.

I ordered a mint Macchiato coffee as i took my lid off to finish my coffee i noticed there was a lot of black bugs in my coffee. I presumed that it was from the unwashed mint leaves and branches that was put in my drink which was almost a half of cup full ( way excessive) i called the store and drove back with the rest of the coffee to show them i got my money back. Unfortunately they didnt offer me anything to keep a customer they just said oh sorry i wont be going back at all .
