Bad service. Waited almost 15 min for a cup of special drip and what we got is lukewarm (not even hot), smell completely different drink that I would not even call it anywhere close to typical American and as soon as we sat down in less than 5 min we were told the store is closed and have to leave, our kid didn’t even finished his treat we got from the freezer.
Will no return.

Outstanding coffee every time! I usually get cappuccino or cortado (2 parts espresso 2 parts steamed milk). I also tried some Guatemala beans and they have all sorts of yummy cookies/pastries, like "The Cookie Department" Espresso Cookie which contains the caffeine equivalent of 1 shot of espresso.

Great coffee, nice coffee beans roasted to order (on the lighter/fruitier side). Not usually a fan of sweet coffee drinks, but I love their iced vanilla latte (with housemade vanilla syrup).

Espresso at its finest with all the other wiz-bang options available as well ( ie cold drip on tap, pour-overs, french press, etc). In house custom made to order roasting of a wide variety of beans from all over the world, while you watch! A nice little patio out front. Also, they do sales of espresso machines, cold drip systems etc. The best coffee I've found in Berkeley!

Vanilla lattes today were not hot enough only tepid.. Someone else in line had same problem. Making coffees not in order as usual, and they are really slow. Don't know why they only have one person making espresso drinks when they have 6 people working in the store and 2 espresso machines - they were about 10 coffees behind. Next time I'll go to Highwire.

Review: Nice for a quick stop cup of coffee. If you plan on posting up and working with a friend, there aren’t too many tables that will fit 2 laptops comfortably. Location on the far side of 4th makes for fantastic placement and makes it an easy destination during window shopping sessions.

Artis is a staple whenever we're in town in SF - for good reason. High quality coffee and espresso drinks that are better than most in the area, and a clean, modern aesthetic that puts the coffee and process on display.

Good coffee and nice interior space, but the layout is very inefficient. They have a poor selection of pastries. Besides the continuous train horns it is a pleasant place.

Nice atmosphere and staff. They have all kinds of milks and coffees, and mine tasted great. although I did have to pay to park and the drinks were pricey.

What's up with these low energy staff... No longer the same...
