Found this on Google, checked out the reviews and tried it out. Wow, was blown away. Breakfast was delicious. Ordered the pastrami & cheese omelette and it was so good. Pancakes was great as well. New spot to stop at on my way home. And the staff was nice and friendly. Very personable with the guests.

Looks sketchy outside and run down. It’s in an old part of town, and most of the area looks similar. The menu at the counter isn’t anything like the menu they give you when you sit down to eat, and all the Roy’s branding is missing inside. It almost seems like there’s a new owner or something, and we almost left. However, we were treated well and the food is good! It’s not anything amazing, but it’s good. There’s no mention anywhere of the desserts I’m seeing on Google. Kind of a weird place but a good stop for dinner.

They make one of the best tasting burgers I have EVER had. And I am told that the prices are about average for the times. And the portions are great. People are very nice and friendly. The location is great, very central. With plenty of parking as well as seating. And it is clean.

We were traveling through Barstow and stopped here for lunch because Roy's has a legacy. The service was excellent, the menu was huge and diverse. We both got burgers which were great and made like I would at home. You can have a variety of sides with your burger. The coffee was good and made fresh for me. I would definitely eat here again cause there is a lot more to try on the menu.

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Vegas and they did not disappoint! They've got a wide selection and it's made well. If we are ever back in the area we'd consider going back here again. We got the breakfast burrito and a mushroom avocado omelete!

Fantastic food, great service, excellent prices, can't say enough good things about Roy's. Wish we were closer, we live in Texas, or we would go every day! We will definitely go anytime we're in the area.

Stopped here for gas on my way out of California.
The customer service was amazing, really really nice folks. The food smelled amazing too and tasted great! Probably the coolest place you can stop.

We stopped at Roy's Cafe on our way home from the California coast. Unassuming little cafe right off highway, which we found via Google. The man working there took our order & made our food. Service was quick, food was delicious and it did feel like a small town, mom & pop diner. The menu had lots of choices and you could tell the food was made of high quality ingredients. The best part, besides the French toast, was when the man offered us his honey and almond milk creamer to use in our coffee. Talk about personalized service! We will definitely make this restaurant a regular stop on return trips to the coast.

This was our first time there. I believe it was a family owned restaurant. Husband was the cook & wife was the waitress. They worked well together & they food was great. My husband & I shared a big burrito cause it was humongous. 👍

We visited Roy's yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food they served. I ordered a specialized omelet with hash browns. I couldn't eat it all, and it came with 2 regular sized pancakes! There's was only one waitress and she was great. Kept up with everyone and never lost her smile. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because they used oil butter on thier toast instead of real butter. The toast was terrible.
