Tony's Firehouse Grill and Pizza

Excellent service. Great atmosphere and friendly caring hosts and servers.

This place is too good to be so far from town. The vibes here are amazing especially after a softball game at Mesa Marin. The pizza portions are huge, the beers are cold, and plenty of tvs to see any game you watch. If this was more centralized in Bakersfield, this would easily be the busiest and most visited sports restaurant in Bakersfield. I’m in love with it.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My family went to Tony's pizza on hwy 178 to watch the NFC championship game and we ended up leaving before the 1st quarter was halfway through. We spent over $150 on pizza not including beer during the game. We asked if they could turn the sound up on the game because it was muted. The girls working there were amazing but the owner came out and turned all the sound off and turned on music instead. He told us that was the way it was gonna be and we were being selfish for asking for the sound from the game. We then went and asked the only other people there if they were there for the game. And they were, and asked if they would mind asking for the sound to be turned up as well, showing we weren't the only patrons there to watch the championship game. They were also turned down amd we were told if we didn't like it then we could leave. So we did just that. We have always loved going to Tony's pizza but after this experience we will never go back, and I suggest the same for everyone else. The owner was very rude

Will not be returning, will not recommend. The division of the restaurant was not family friendly for us. We were met with a list of RULES from the hostess of who or what can go across the open room. If the kids want to eat pizza, but mom or dad wants something from the grill it means someone has to eat on the other side of the restaurant. If we wanted to order from both options in the building we could not sit together to eat the food. If we ordered from the grill, we have to eat on the grill side while we watch our kids from across the restaurant. This may not be a big deal to some, but in my view it is to everyone's benefit for us to sit close to to our active kids (as they dumped quarters into numerous broken games). We were told that if I ordered a Taco salad on one side and walked over to the other side by the games to eat it, we'd be literally asked to leave. However, patrons ordering
beer were allowed to cross over. I asked to order my food to go so I could walk across and eat it close to our kids, but we were told that's also against the RULES. To go orders eaten inside must still be eaten on the correct side and then they said To go orders eaten inside on the correct side won't receive waitress service. We'll be gladly taking our money elsewhere from now on. Too many unnecessary rules for us.

We were camping at the Kern River and stopped by Tony's. It really made for a wonderful evening for the whole family.

This place is worth the drive if you live in the Bakersfield area. The ambiance is excellent, with lots of firefighter memorabilia, funny signs, etc. The restaurant is divided in half. One side is where you order pizza, drinks and play arcade games. The other is for fine dining with great food and fantastic service. I can't wait to go back.

Slow, and forgetful. Missing half of food items. Drinks were forgotten, plates when severed were left to fall off the table. Got the drinks by walking up to the bartender and asking about them. Food was given to us to make up for the mistakes, but the almost 3hr dinner with so many mistakes wasnt worth the visit. Go somewhere else, this was horrible.

I like the crust and toppings(Fresh). Needs just a little more sauce and not enough cheese. Pizza had great taste, ranch was good. Logs were meh.

Gonna try to be detailed out of fairness since this is my first visit and last. Would give zero stars if the food tasted as bad as it looked but the pizza sauce and crust were good. The people who greeted us were also very pleasant. $7 for 10 small potato wedges that taste like they’re from a discount store freezer and the menu doesn’t disclose the size of the order. 16” pizza is sold as extra large again with no mention of actual size on menu so we assumed local industry standard. A week ago we got a 32” pizza from another place for less money also labeled extra large, and it was better. Toppings are disbursed as if the staff are personally responsible for cost, while top of pizza was covered in olives as if to hide something. I didn’t ask for extra anything on the pizza, much less extra olives. Half the wings had no actual meat on the bones so they were visibly poorly butchered and tasted like Tyson frozen wings. The building advertises a “coffee shop” but only basic coffee is available. The bar looked decent but after the food order we received we won’t be giving it a chance to disappoint. And half the arcade games on the other side didn’t look like they were plugged in. They were generous with the condiments. Google listing claims to deliver, but couldn’t select that option when ordering. Upon arriving curbside pickup is also not offered. And it is horrid to wait for an order with only old and bad country music playing, I’m from the south, I don’t mind decent country music. Overall failed to meet expectations. Could improve by having better disclosure in menu and advertising but I suspect certain items would cease to sell.

Grate place good pizza and the atmosphere is amazing. Love going here, and the kids love it too. Only problem is a lot of the games are broken or eat or give out money. If they worked i would gladly give 5 stars all day. Lover it
