Went here right when they opened up and ordered what you see pictured (wurst and 2 cakes). The wurst was close to room temp (not sure if it needed to be that cold or not), but the saurkraut was perfect and delicious! I didn't have room to eat the cakes when we went there so I took them to go. Beesting held up fairly well for an 8hr drive in the heat, and I wish I had coffee to go with that rum cake. A good place to stop by that's for sure.

This place is legit! Had the schnitzel with onion cream gravy and OMG. It was divine. We came in pretty late, so I felt bad, but we got great service and the food was AMAZING. Decor was cute, restaurant was clean, and it was just a really great experience. Will be back for more.

This is the #1 rated restaurant in Sierra Vista on Trip Advisor. Last night I wanted solid meal and something I rarely have. The waitress took care of everyone and she is amazing. I was interested in a bratwurst with curry. She offered me the version of two brats with curry, no pretzel bun. Excellent. I splurged with the mixed berry cheese cake.
I had thought to go elsewhere for dinner tonight and try another local restaurant. That didn’t workout. I was back here again for a different dish. The waitress had no trouble guiding me to another outstanding choice that will fuel my bike ride tomorrow.
There are reasons this restaurant is rated #1. Try it!

The spaetzle is fantastic and their gluten free Reuben sandwich was more like a meal. Homemade potatoe pancakes with corned beef, housemade sauerkraut and melted swiss was the best gluten free thing I've eaten. Bavarian coleslaw is warm and has bacon in it, delicious. The slice of strawberry torte was huge, with fresh whipped cream throughout, made a nice light dessert. Go there! Bring your appetite.

I love good food and have been to the German cafe several times. It seems their prices have gone up substantially so my husband and our friends decided to split a Reuben sandwich. It comes with French Frys Cole slaw and sour croutons. We had the choice of paying an extra $3.50 to split the meal or we would have to order an extra side. We decided to.order the extra side for $3.95.When we got our meal we asked for catsup for the fries. When we got our bill we were charged 50cents for the little container of catsup. Who charges for catsup? Very disappointed as this used to be our favorite restaurant. We also always have brought our friends here when they come to town. We will be finding a new restaurant and wont be using German Cafe any longer for any of our major events. Greed I think will eventually close down this business.
