My first thought, looking around after we were seated was, "Happy people eat here." The atmosphere on this charming outdoor patio is light-hearted and cheerful. The staff is the same, as well as accommodating and caring. Dishes ordered were: Bruschetta and Guacamole with chips for starters, then the Corn Chowder, as well as the Chunk Chicken and Southwest Cobb salads. Honestly the best tasting bruschetta I've ever eaten. The chowder was gently sweet, not too thick yet hearty. In other words perfect. The salads were humongous but so fresh. Bonus delight in the southwest is the freeze dried corn kernels- am actually sad I've lived this long without ever knowing how good those are! There may have also been a Prickly Pear Martini (my first ever) involved. Friend ordered the Prickly Pear and Mango Margarita. Between the two, and this glorious meal, I wish I could give more stars.

We enjoyed breakfast at the Secret Garden Cafe recently and plan on returning there during our next visit to Sedona. First of all, the facilities, inside and outside, are attractive and inviting. There is an outside seating area, which is a definite plus, so you can enjoy your meal and the great Sedona weather at the same time.

For our breakfast, we had the traditional quiche Lorraine and the gluten-free pancakes. Both items were excellent -- in taste, in presentation, in quantity of food. For the quiche, the egg custard was silky, the quiche was relatively thick, the filling was tasty, and the crust was light and a good accompaniment to the egg.

The gluten-free pancakes were some of the best we've ever had. They were fluffy, flavorful, and accompanied with a side of diced melon.

We also enjoyed the Sedona Sunrise, which is a great bit of morning bubbly!

Also, the servers deserve some definite kudos for managing the onslaught of customers, being attentive, prompt, and friendly. Good job, gang!

Overall, keep up the great work. Your efforts and quality are appreciated.

This is just ok. Not the quality you may be looking for. But it’s location is perfect if you’re in the Tlaquepaque area. Don’t expect much in terms of great food. Service is ok. They have a nice heated patio. I do not recommend their corn chowder. The veggie burger was good. The chicken croissant was also good.

A great breakfast spot! Take the hit for calories and get the potatoes with your breakfast-you won’t regret it! (As you can see it’s the only thing I remembered to take a photo of!) the eggs were super creamy and delicious as well. My friend tried the quiche Lorraine and it was something else (also super creamy and delicious!) they have an awesome heated outdoor section and cute interior section for seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

We walked to the Secret Garden from our hotel. It was quite comfortable on the back patio, even though it was a very cold walk. The quality of the food was great. We had eggs, potatoes, and bacon. All were good. The problem was at the beginning and end. We didn't get our order in for 15 minutes, and it took 20 minutes to pay the bill. I was getting frustrated by the time we left. I almost was going to reflect the poor service in the tip, but just couldn't. We just will not be back. They could do better.

Stopped in here the other morning after walking through the desert and be forewarned, they’re cash only and the atm outside charges a LOT in user fees.

My iced cold brew was tasty, but def overpriced. Same with my breakfast eggs, they definitely weren’t $20+ eggs. I get it’s a tourist trap area, but the prices were a bit ridiculous. Still had a nice brunch though.

Loved it here! It was my first time coming here and was immediately welcomed. The aesthetic was beautiful and the drinks were amazing. Tanya (I hope I spelled her name right) was an amazing bartender! I definitely recommend her and this place.

The Secret Garden at Tlaquepaque was an amazing and disappointing breakfast experience at the same time.

What a display of resilience and true grit on the part of the restaurant employees during a short staffing crisis.

The first thing we noticed upon arrival was a silent but palpable 'chaos crescendo'. The breakfast rush had begun, many guests started showing up, except there was only one problem: there were only THREE SERVERS and JUST ONE COOK to serve the 60 or more hungry customers!!

We were some of the first customers who arrived, but even though there were plenty of open tables, we couldn't get seated quite yet, and had to wait 15 minutes to get our table.

I jokingly asked a server: "Did someone decide to call In [sick] today?" She said they were multiple people short staffed this morning! I felt empathy and admiration for those brave, resilliant and multi-tasking Fantastic Four!

Even in the eye of the storm and the ever compounding influx of the masses, our short but brave staff never complained, nor did they 'crash' under pressure.

BRAVI, Jenna & Cristina running the tables, Olivia at the bar, hostess station and for expediting food and chef Bruno, as the only cook, all whom demonstrated courage and class without missing amazing customer service skills and serving delicious, well-prepared dishes!

Food was amazing! I give these four brave restaurant warriors FIVE STARS! But, I give manager Josh and owner Robin an 'F' and only ONE STAR for letting your staff down and not helping them in their time of need when they needed you most!

Josh, it is my understanding that you've recently took on the manager position at Secret Garden, but it is No 'Secret', how terribly bad you failed as leader.

I know and have worked in all aspects of restaurant operations, including management! I Know 1st Hand!

Let me tell you something, Josh: What you did to these four suffering hard workers was inexcusable and totally impardonnable!
How dare you not get out of bed, rush to the restaurant to control the urgent situation and aide your employees??

The Garden employees looked up to you for help and called you, but YOU Decided not to run to the rescue and NOT BE PRESENT!!
SHAME ON YOU, JOSH!!!

Owner Robin, you are partly to blame (staffing-wise and by appearing to not to be keeping a watchful eye on what goes on at the Secret Garden in your absence) I really don't know all the sides of the story. I'm only seeing it from the perspective of your brave, extremely efficient, courteous and magnificently well-behaved employees, and of course, from MY Perspective as a customer and Google reviewer (with 1.1 million views of my Google review photos and being a top 10% expert restaurant reviewer on Google, I think this review ought to matter a bit)

I'm not here to denounce or point fingers. However, as a customer, I have Every Right to critique the service I paid for and to share my dining experience in Google in an objective manner.

I believe in second chances, in giving my reviewed places a fair opportunity to remedy & correct shortcomings, and, in receiving a follow up or reply from the owners and managers of the places I review.

Eagerly waiting for your response and your manager correction update.

The four employees should be highly commended.

THANK YOU!

Came to Sedona for the weekend and had breakfast here at the secret garden cafe both mornings . Yes it was that good! Breakfast burrito is indescribable! Simply delicious! The chefs scramble was probably the best prepared eggs I’ve had , the mimosa flight was great but the 2 ghost pepper vodka Bloody Mary took the show spicy and delicious! We will definitely be returning on all future Sedona trips ! Thanks for a great experience

Nice place to grab a lite bite to eat in a lovely setting. Located in tilaquepaque village, the restaurant has indoor and great shaded, outdoor seating. Pets are allowed on the patio. Ordered the chicken pablano sandwich which was great. Very fresh ingredients and could tell everything was made to order. The bread was delicious also ❤️. Ordered the chips which paired well with the sandwich. Portion sizes are ok and unfortunately the Cole slaw was not to my liking as it included raisins. Lots of salad choices and light fare. Def recommend if your looking for a good lunch spot in tilaquepaque village 👍
