I love the Nile!!! Their southwest English muffin is the bomb and they always have a seasonal drink menu so if you call your order in make sure to ask what they have! Also a rotating pastry menu.
Plus they have events on the weekends where they host a multitude of other vegan restaurants from the valley so you can order all in one place!
Such a great addition to the community.

Hi! Just wanted to give you some feedback from my morning experience at your store. Unfortunately it wasn’t the best. I don’t write notes like this, but today I really felt like our service was poor. I brought an out of state friend to the Nile this morning to meet for coffee, and maybe that’s why I feel disappointed and embarrassed. We each ordered coffee and avocado toast. We ordered it to dine in and waited outside by the order window. I told the gal we’d just sit outside to dine. They called our name for our coffees, but never for our avocado toast. We waited for a long time, so I finally went to the window and just asked if it was still coming, and she found them in to go boxes sitting on the counter. I asked how long they were sitting there, I didn’t want to eat cold toast. She said not too long and gave them to me. I asked why my name wasn’t called, she said she didn’t know. So I took our boxes to the little outside table, opened it and discovered they were cold. No plastic ware or napkins either. So I went inside and asked for a fork and napkins. They told me I could find it on a counter A little ways into the restaurant. I felt frustrated that this morning coffee date with my friend wasn’t turning out very pleasant. I totally felt like my order wasn’t important. So I mentioned to the employee that I was disappointed that our breakfast was cold, it was in a to go box, we weren’t alerted it was ready, and that even once I was given it, I didn’t have a fork to eat it with. She just looked at me without a word.
I felt like an apology or perhaps a free coffee or something would have made it better, although I certainly didn’t ask for one. Another employee came over, and I told her I was disappointed in our experience, and she just looked at me too.
So long story short, I’m just disappointed. I love your shop, wanted to share it with my friend, and it didn’t turn out that great. Also adding to my disappointment was that I sent this review to you privately via IG message, and you didn’t respond. So I feel like I need to post it here.
Sorry to not have positive things to say, but I thought You’d want to have the feedback

the food & drinks here get 5 stars all day. the staff gets 2 stars. I can’t remember the last time I came here & the person taking my order was friendly to me. I don’t have crazy orders, like add 6 shots to my drink or make sure there’s no arugula in my salad, I just order straight from the menu, i’m always super friendly & 9/10 times the person taking my order makes me feel like i’m a nuisance for ordering anything, my boyfriend has also noticed this. I stopped by today to grab lunch & the girl at the window didn’t even greet me, she just looked at me until I was ready to order. it made me so uncomfortable & anxious that I probably won’t be back

I came for the first time to the Nile for the East Side 8 storytelling event. I was so impressed with the coffee shop, the venue, and the event! I loved all the treats and coffee they were serving and it was so cool that they had a hot food menu that was completely vegan.
The storytelling event was so cool. Props to the East Side 8 team for hosting that event and I hope they continue to do it every month; I’ll definitely come every time. The stories were heartfelt, funny, and inspiring. It’s so amazing that people go up and tell a story for 5 or 6 minutes and we as the audience are able to connect with them in that time. Loved the hosts too; they were funny and personable!
Parking was super easy and free behind the building and that downtown area is really cool to walk around before and after the event.
The coffee shop was slammed during the event but they kept up with all the orders from the customers.
I can’t wait to visit again!

This place is more about a philosophical statement than about good food. Green tea was okay, could have used more ice. Coffee wasn't hot. Wife had the oatmeal and it was dry. Milk would have made it great. I had the copper breakfast burrito. Menu said it had ham. False advertising. It was okay, very dense. Could only eat half the hardy portion. If your totally vegan its the place for you. If you're hoping for a place with some balance? No dairy here for the coffee.

Man, I feel wrong about this place. The DJ was cool and the staff was friendly but the food and the drink.... I can’t pretend I enjoyed either. Our iced coffee tasted like water, and my espresso had way less flavor than what they even offer at Starbucks. We also ordered a sandwich, but that too fell short, I felt like I was eating a bologna and potato breakfast bagel.
I would be willing to give it another shot, but my first impression was not great.

The Nile coffee shop food menu is all vegan. I've had three burritos, there, of different types- all good. I think that right now there is no take-in sitting, but there are some outdoor tables on the main street side walk. I have to ask them if they are vegan every time, because the burritos include chicken and bacon, ham, but they are vegan equivalents, if a meet eater would ever think that's possible. If you aren't vegan but want to try vegan that's the perfect place to get meal with 'bacon'. Live long and B12. Cheers

Super chill and quaint place. Their vegan pastries are moist (yes, moist) but so delicious. Staff is helpful and friendly. Do note that heir drinks are strong! So if you don't like too much espresso, make sure you request how many shots you'd like in your drink. Really nice place to study or hang with friends.

Food is absolutely delicious and fresh! Haven't had the coffee yet, but my co-workers go out of their way to stop in for a cup of coffee. Took a little while to get our food, but it's definitely worth the wait. Also, love the mural on the back wall. 5 stars all the way!
