Everything about this place is great but…the online menu was not updated and the wait for food, let alone just a drink, is too long. So after taking food orders for my co-workers and waiting in line for quite some time (as the person taking orders is also the person that makes the drinks) I see a menu at the register with none of the items listed online. Meanwhile there is a line building up behind me so I end up ordering whatever sandwiches are available and then told it will take 20 minutes. Ok fine but why not have a dedicated person that rings people up and two other people making the drinks? I have never been here less than 40 minutes total waiting to order and pick up food. 40 minutes is 20 minutes too long. The staff seems unnecessarily stressed and in need of better support. After talking with my coworkers, our clinic will no longer be ordering from here as we only get 30 minute lunch breaks and no way to order online. More hands on deck equals better customer experience and less stress on the staff. On a good note, thank you for being vegan. It is appreciated.

Update: They don't serve the Southwest sandwich on bagels anymore - which isn't nearly as good. Also, I wish they added tofu, veggies or a balancing sauce to the new recipe because the chorizo has become very overpowering.
The specialty coffees has dropped in quality too. Very disappointed.

I really like this coffee shop since it only offers mylk options. The iced latte is very tasty with the praline syrup. They recently got rid of soy milk, which is disappointing, but the oat milk is a decent substitute.

Cute and warm environment. Very homey! Their coffee is good! I love their vegan/vegetarian food options. They usually have a gluten-free option or two! Been coming here for years and love it!

Delicious coffee and vegan food. Hubby and I each tried a different breakfast burrito and they were amazing! Especially the steak and potato burrito. Highly recommend for a casual breakfast and delightful coffee in a cute atmosphere. Yum!!

I have tried so hard to like this place, everything we've tried on the menu (and we've tried most of it) has been so underwhelming. For these prices I would expect food and drinks to actually be seasoned and sweetened properly. Worst chia pudding I've ever had, the one at first watch can be veganized and is far superior. Cute place and nice atmosphere, but they could be doing such a better job representing vegan food. Please consider trying harder to give us our monies worth.

the coffee is fine, but the service is terrible. i had to leave without my food because it took so long. do not come here if you can’t wait for more than 30+ minutes for a breakfast sandwich.
edited because they did refund me. also wanted to add that that only the barista that day was helpful, and was very prompt with my latte. the two staff making the food were unhelpful and seemed put out.

Very very very slow service. Tables not cleaned. Staff very friendly coffee is delicious don't know about food yet still waiting lol. Still a good place though great atmosphere. Never mind just came to clean my table like I said slow but oh my so friendly. Can I'm editing my review after getting food without napkins and fork. It was freaking cold gross

Absolutely wonderful, local downtown Mesa coffee shop and Eatery. We appreciate that many of the items were vegan. We are not necessarily vegan ourselves, but do appreciate it can be a healthy way to eat for some people. We ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, two cups of specialty tea including vanilla chai with almond milk, and their sweet potato and vegan 'bacon' bagel. Both of these items were excellent. The tea was served nice and hot and the staff here were friendly and accommodating. More of us need to support locally owned and independently-run businesses, and we are glad to support the Nile Coffee House in downtown Mesa. Five star rating!

Friendly staff, terrific coffee and open minded management to support live music and jazz. Great sound guy and prime location to meet passerbys. Looking forward to going back! Cheers!
