Ok! So this needs to happen...
I was letting this go and just writing off our experience as a bad one that we would never have to repeat. However, after these past number of weeks it has become such a joke between us that I simply felt compelled to leave this unfortunate review.
On, I believe, Dec 29 my companion and I googled a good breakfast joint in flagstaff as we were passing through. The reviews seemed encouraging and the pictures inviting so we stopped by. There was a long line awaiting a table (usually a good sign) but since we were short on time we placed our orders to go. We ordered french toast, avacado toast and breakfast potatoes that honestly came out quicker than expected. We also ordered a cappuccino that took 15 minutes longer so we stood there with bag in hand while our food got cold.
If that was the only issue it could easily be ignored but it certainly was not. The potatoes were cold, not flavored well and had an odd texture. The French toast was cold and soggy and i was given only one tiny syrup and one tinier butter. Last of all when I say the avocado toast was an abomination I kid you not. Nor do I exaggerate when I say it was possibly in the top 3 most disgusting things ever placed before me to eat- and I've lived in and visited a number of third world countries. It felt like a trick or perhaps a disgruntled employee. It was hard to imagine such a cute place with so many customers serving what they did especially considering the price .
The cappuccino was great though.

Great brunch spot in downtown Flag. They have a large, dog friendly outdoor patio (each table has its own umbrella), well priced drinks (great Bloody Mary and $3 mimosas), and a lot of great vegan and vegetarian options. Loved the vegan breakfast burrito and pancakes.

Excellent food and service!! The atmosphere is very welcoming and includes random owls posted all over the walls and on the tables. It is a very casual breakfast eatery and the price structure is very reasonable. I will be returning when I am in Flagstaff again.

Coming into the cafe you get this extremely homie and relax vibe to it. Their decor is base on many different owl pictures, painting and sculptures and base in the cafes name 🙃. Service to be seated and served was quick, menu has a good base variety. Eggs and gravy: awesome, sandwiches 🥪: awesome, French toast: was ok but could use a little bit of nothing lol it was awesome. Recommending to everyone.

Just left the place and I’ve had the best breakfast in a long time. Super tasty vegetarian options. Eggs and vegan chorizo, good bread options too. Nice homemade Potatoes . Everything tasted really good. If you’re in the area it’s the place to go for good yummy healthy breakfast.

The Toasted Owl is quite a unique place. The "Owl " theme is throughout the restaurant.
We waited about 30 mins. on a Sunday around noon. The food is well worth the wait.
In looking at the reviews I was all psyched up to try the Breakfast Tamales. 2 hand-made tamales, one beef and one with green chiles and cheese. Comes with black beans and 2 ( over easy) eggs. The tamales are covered with green enchilada sauce.
We also ordered a Build your own Breakfast Bowl (which has mixed fresh veggies, potatoes, scrambled eggs, pork chorizo, flour tortilla, and house-made salsa.
A Breakfast Burrito and a second order of the Breakfast Tamales made our foursome. The food was outstanding. Everyone left full and happy.
We know our go-to place when we come to Flagstaff. "OWL" see you next time.

Well prepared food, quaint atmosphere, and really friendly staff. Perfectly cooked eggs! Can’t really complain, but would have liked to see a little more on the plate at the price, but that is just me. Cinny roll was good but would have like a bit more yeast flavor and more cream cheese over powdered sugar for the glaze. Again, personal preference. Solid choice spot and worth a stop.

Great place to grab brunch. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and the food is very good. Plus the mimosas are tiny and cute! My only complaint is that the bacon is slightly overcooked for.me, but that's a personal preference.
Great.place to stop by and would do so again.
