Cala Coffee

So happy to finally have a local coffee shop in Cahaba Heights! The shop is beautiful and welcoming, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee is A+++! My favorites are the iced vanilla latte and iced strawberry matcha latte.

I brought my mom to Cala on Mother’s Day and she loved their drinks so much that she called me two weeks later to ask if there was a way she could buy the Strawberry Matcha to make at home because for the past two weeks she has not been able to stop thinking about it. If you can’t stop thinking about a drink for two weeks from 250+ miles away, then the business deserves 5 stars.

Excellent coffee, top notch service, great atmosphere. Cala Coffee is the real deal and the owners & staff are passionate about what they do. A much needed addition to this side of Birmingham!

Atmosphere & Quality

This locally owned coffee shop brings an entirely new vibe to Cahaba Heights. Some of your favorite coffee and treats are served here with room to sit and take in the "create good days" atmosphere. You can't help but feel at home when you walk in the door and see the paper lanterns floating through the space and the soft green walls wrap their arms around you.

If you're ready for a fresh pour, Texas style tacos or Bandit pastries then you're ready for CALA!

Cala is a beautiful space with wonderful drinks and some fun pastries to top it all off. The strawberry matcha is a go-to and the staff is super friendly!

Cala is crushing it in Cahaba Heights! After many months of brewing their coffee at home, I was excited to see what an expert barista could do with it ... and I must admit their lattes are way better than mine. And love what Josh and Melanie have done with the space -- incredible what a fresh paint job and an awning can do. The interior is great also, very warm and inviting. I love a good entrepreneur success story, and I see much more growth and success in the future for Cala. Keep it up, guys!

Great coffee with lots of seating as well as different sitting options for small groups a couple of people are a single person to sit for awhile. Serves last chance bakery and lady bird tacos.

Cala is my new go to coffee bar. The coffee is outstanding and the staff is always friendly. You are missing out if you don’t give them a try. You can thank me later.

Excellent coffee, atmosphere, and vibe. Visiting from Texas and we loved it. We look forward to coming back next time we’re in town!
