Shipley Do-Nuts

Came up from Tuscaloosa. Looking to have some donuts. Want it glazed donuts at 12:00 in the day. Informed that they did not have any and weren't going to make anymore. Think that's a little sad so I'm writing this review. Thank you!

Krispie Kreme cancelled my order for 20 dozen donuts AT pickup time (8:30 AM on a Sunday). In a panic, I searched around and found Shipley’s nearby. I was in and out with 20 dozen donuts in 20 minutes (and at a lower cost!) The employees were so kind and efficient, very impressed!

Best best best. Way better than Krispy Kreme or any chain brands.

The best doughnut stop in town. Everything is great! Small dining area but most people take out. Small parking lot and it is often crowded because the food is so good

Shipley's donuts are literally the only ones I eat now. Found out they offer a great discount for veterans as well.

Donuts were just ok. My expectations were higher given the reviews. Coffee was worst I've had and I'm not picky with coffee. Probably had been sitting for hours since we got there later in day. Used the restroom only to be harassed when I came out saying they weren't public and don't use them next time. No need to worry, won't be a next time.

Love Shipley's apple fritters (pictured), as well as their chocolate doughnut with creme filling. Personal preference, though, Krispy Kreme's glazed doughnuts are better than Shipley's. But to each their own.

I find the disorganization at the front counter to be very strange and the outside parking lot is not often well kept.
The food quality is good, though.
I tried making call ahead orders and was told there was no need. That caused a longer wait time for morning pickup. Everyone likes the food but the rest is lacking.

Friendly staff. Many options to choose from. Definitely will come back.
