Love the decor. It's not perfect. It's a little quirky but that's what I like about it. They have well what any other coffee place has coffee and pastries. I highly recommend the pumpkin spice latte. It is to die for. The girls are very sweet.

Great hot chocolate! Brisket sandwich could have had more meat.

Great coffee! The bagel was good too but I am most impressed by the seating arrangements, paintings and old school atmosphere!
Great spot for casual afternoon lunch or hang out with friends.
Would have given it 5 stars but the restroom definitely needs an upgrade!

Great tea selections and amazing vibe. I would like to suggest bringing in an inspirational book gallery for sippimgs and reading as well as a medicinal herbal tea side of things. As the area's local naturopathic doctor, it would be a great fit and I would volunteer my input. Great job. Also, big vision for Mentone! Thank you.

A jewel of a coffee shop. Great service was the cherry on top of some excellent coffee and a panini. Worth every penny but not expensive at all. I was surprised at how inexpensive it was. I may never be in Fort Payne again but if I am this is my first stop. If you live in Fort Payne and enjoy coffee of the highest standard then go here.

We truly need to be putting large corporations and chain restaurants on boycott since they're price gouging and not paying a living wage. Well, here's an awesome place to go get shakes, teas, coffee, etc... Locally owned and operated, we enjoyed it! Thanks guy.

Well, as much I would like to give this place a sparkling review for its effort in trying to be the most edgy place in all of Fort Payne, AL, I cannot bring myself to overlook the sheer mediocrity of their coffee and fairly pleasant but not impressive sandwiches. I must admit that I do give them credit for being practically the ONLY coffee shop in all of Alabama. The employees were incredibly kind and the atmosphere was wonderful, but this simply does not make up for their dull espresso shots and rubbery eggs.

Many people say they would give a place a zero star if they could. I would say this place at least deserves the one star for being quaint and a "spot" to get some work done on your laptop akin to the internet coffee cafes of old. Also, being what you would assume is primarily a coffee shop, food offerings are not expected to be great. With that said, don't waste your money. Neither the food nor the coffee was any good. From the bottom, the avocado toast was literally a single piece of Wal-Mart bread with unripe avocado and some bacon pieces for $5.50. The grilled cheese was about what you would expect from any kid's menu, coupled with the tasteless soup of the day (bulk prepared), cheddar broccoli, which to be honest, was fine as a base but was missing the all-important quality, flavor. The Nutella banana toast was the same single piece of Walmart bread, a small slather of Nutella, probably a tablespoon, and a few slices of overripe banana, as was obvious across the table not only from the darkened color but the mushy texture seen by the eye. The silver lining, and the reason for about half of the one star was the turkey pesto. Not better than what you can make yourself at home from the same Wal-Mart ingredients mind you but at least decent. Not for a whopping $9 dollars for what equates to a heavy snack but not a complete failure. Lastly, the macchiato tasted like watered down milk with a hint of flavoring and maybe a sniff of coffee which just might have been the establishment itself. If you like pissing your money away to experience the last gasp of the "hippest" coffee joint of a small town, this is your "spot".
