FIVE Birmingham

My husband and I went yesterday. Nice restaurant with beautiful decor. No wait but the food and drinks were HORRIBLE. We ordered chicken and Mac n’ cheese with a side salad. The chicken looked really good but had no taste and the Mac n’ cheese was dry. The salad was just there and the drinks we ordered which was a Sprite and a Coke were BOTH watered down. They really got me on Google when I was looking for a good place to eat. The food looked like it might have been pretty good but I know now. Nice restaurant look though!

FIVE has great food and good service. It has been slow the last few times we’ve been there but I don’t know why. The burger and chicken Paillard is amazing and the drinks are always well made!

Very disappointing! Hyped up on Tik Tok. Drinks were weak, watered down taste. Even the Coke tasted bad. Shrimp and grits were mushy & grainy, didn't even know that was possible. Beignets were greasy fried biscuits with an apple bit and caramel drizzle. Wasted time and experience!

Five? You mean, 5 stars! The food was exceptional. The service was relaxed but attentive. The vibe was fun. They don’t have a lot on the menu because they focus on quality over option quantity. I got the chicken and waffles, my wife got the shrimp and grits. I would recommend both!

BUT they didn’t have the spinach bowl on the menu, as they’ve swapped it out for steak hash but not updated the menus.

A must go-to on a Sunday for Brunch! The LIVE music, great food and excellent service MADE this experience for my husband and I! We will be back!

Excellent service! The staff is amazing, restaurant very clean, food and drinks were the best!!! I'll most certainly be back.
