Love to find local mom and pop places to eat. Great food and awesome service! Server was very knowledgeable of menu. If you want a nice place to eat that's not a chain restaurant, come on here.

I've been here a few times, and they have not let me down with any meal they make! It feels and tastes authentic! They provide great service and attitudes. I couldn't ask for a better place to be my go to for lunch (or dinner)!

I randomly came here, ordered the main specialty and didn't even ask what it was, didn't even know what it was, but it was freakin amazing. Probably the best food I've ever got from a restaurant in Alabama so far, considering I had no idea what any of it was but it was so delicious that I ate every bit of it. I highly recommend.

Edit: I later learned that one of the sides consisted of fried plantain patties which actually tasted like fried potato only more light and healthier taste. 10/10

Honey Habanero Wings, Coconut Wrap, Yucca with the Chimichurri sauce, and the Tostone appetizer are all a must-try. Love this place.

Excellent island fare! The Cuban sandwich was fabulous and the coconut wrap was great as well. Check out this little gem in Attalla, AL!

This restaurant was near the hotel where I was staying. I like to support local businesses and the online menu looked good, so I went there for dinner. Hector's was absolutely fantastic! I can only think of one restaurant where I've eaten in the past year that might have been as good as Hector's. I honestly can't think of how my food or overall experience could have been better. If you have the chance to eat at Hector's and decide to eat somewhere else instead, you're making a big mistake! Go to Hector's and save room for the bread pudding! I live five hours away, but the next time I pass through that area, I'll be sure to eat there again.

This place was so busy. We were glad we got a table. Food was good. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food, authentic in flavor and preparation. Quaint atmosphere and good service. Enjoyed the experience.
