The campground is cramped to say the least. The oddest set up ever. No way would I ever stay there again. Over priced and NO customer service. I witnessed them turn away a camper when there were still sites available for the night. Anyone over 5’10 can look right into the showers through the windows. Seriously. Could go on and on and on but no need. There are far better options in Cody.

Loved it. We stayed in one of the cabins for a week and rode the big horn mountain range. The owners and camp hosts were super friendly and accommodating. We met some of the locals who would stop by the convenience store for refreshments on occasion....great atmosphere and BEST cinnamon rolls ever. Would definitely stay again.

Great cabins with restrooms and AC ...

The campground though, is packed in like sardines. No way could we get our 40' (never mind the dinghy) in the perpendicular sites (not even are they diagonal) to the already narrow drive. Next morning a 5r had to have 2 cars moved and the moho next to him had to pull up just so he could wiggle out (he had 4 spotters)

Had a great stay, stayed in a queen suite cabin. It was like brand new, clean and comfortable. Owner very nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

WONDERFUL! My wife and I spent the weekend here with our infant son and German Shepherd. The new owners, Kevin and Emily, were absolutely fantastic! The cabin we stayed in was clean, cozy, and modern. The area is beautiful with tons to do; we saw fossilized dinosaur tracks, snowmobile area close by, and ATV trails accessible from the property. The hospitality the owners showed was nothing less than white glove service! They also sell fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls which are absolutely delicious, and even offer some of their wonderful recipes frozen for take-home. We highly recommend and will be coming back this summer!

A very pleasant campground and the new owners are doing an excellent job. There is complementary coffee and a nice selection of beer and other alcoholic beverages for purchase. The Big Horn mountains are close by for anyone who is looking to enjoy some hiking/backing (a guide book is available for use by the front desk)

Making a trip from coast to coast and this has been the best campground by far. Flat ground everywhere making it easy to set up a tent. There are electric outlets at many of the tent sites as well. The bathroom is dead center and very clean. They have beer on tap and make great food inside the shop. Highly recommend this campground if you're passing through.

Very nice campground right next to the road - but not noisy. Emily was very friendly and made us staying though we actually were meant to drive some miles further. Simple but clean and nice washing facilities and some decoration details that showed that there is really somebody taking care of that space by heart!

I am so glad we decided to stay here! This is a lovely site with incredibly friendly owners. We were just looking for a place with hot showers and decided to get a cabin instead of camping for the night. The cabins are wonderful with beautiful pieces of artwork, very clean and welcoming. The front office/store has supplies and fire pits outside if you wish to "glamp" like we did, enjoying some roasted marshmallows and a glass of wine by the fire. I would go out of my way to stay here again if I find myself in the Yellowstone/Big horn area again.

Shell Campground is awesome! The owners (Terry and Margie) are great and go out of their way to make sure that their guest are happy and comfortable. I stayed for 2 weeks doing geology field work, and they helped me out numerous times. The campsites are comfortable, with nice big trees and sturdy tables, and the restrooms are always clean. The office area is very comfortable and a great place to get some work done if needed. If I am ever back in the area I would go out of my way to stay at Shell Campground! The location is also really nice, it is close to the Bighorns, and convenient to Greybull without being in the center of town. The prices are really reasonable for what you get, and everyone is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend it!
