Colectivo Coffee - Wauwatosa (68th St)

This is one of the Best Colectivo locations in Milwaukee, centered like Charlie's candy store on his way to his newspaper route, it's a perfect pop in stop on the way to downtown or out to the burbs. One would be hard pressed to find a better location, oh wait they did, Lake front. Don't pass up any of these exceptional coffee spots.

Wonderful, casual environment perfect for meeting up with old friends, sit alone and ponder, study, hold a small business meeting, whatever your needs are! Colectivo offers a spectacular array of fine coffees and teas... some are pretty adventurous creations! I've been caffeine-free for many years now and they even have numerous choices for me in both hot and cold varieties. The staff is just amazing! Always perky and cheerful! They remember their regulars and, if you don't go there often, even your drink order when you're ready for that refill. Nice selection of healthy sandwiches and wraps! Pastries that tempt the eye and, of course, the tongue!! This Colectivo shop features an outdoor seating area complete with a fire pit for those cold days. There is a spacious amount of seating indoors with large, rolling overhead doors to let in the outside while you're working at one of the many computer stations. There is only one disadvantage to this location... the parking. Colectivo has a small parking lot that surrounds the restaurant but they are situated in a predominantly residential neighborhood. It's a tiny little business district where the other shops/restaurants don't have private lots, so street parking can be a bit problematic unless you don't mind a short walk. Be aware of the posted signs and parking restrictions. Wauwatosa's parking police frequent the area for violators. Again, this area is mostly comprised of single family homes... be aware of fire hydrants, parking too close to driveways and so on... the residents can call WPD, make a complaint and you may find yourself out not just the cost of a ticket but a tow as well.

There are many coffee shops around but this one is special. Most provide a variety of coffees and wifi which this Colectivo dos also. However, none of the others offers the ambiance that this place does. There is open seating outside and even a fire pit that burns during business hours. Inside there are two areas. One is set in the open where sales take place; there are several tables available (mostly people with laptops populate this area). The second (larger) area, is indoor seating and there is a lot of room. There are tables, couches and even an indoor fireplace. It is a nice place to meet, drink coffee and enjoy a good conversation.

Colectivo's in town are hot spots in general. Each one has their own feel and this one's is very cozy. With an outdoor AND indoor fireplace, you can come here and enjoy a hot cocoa or coffee of your choice next to a fire year round. Don't worry about smelling like fire though, they're gas fire places...

Time and time again I have had my simple coffee orders erroneously served, i’m not one to usually write reviews but something must be done, beyond serving me drips instead of lattes and omitting cream from my drip coffee they continuously mispronounce and misspell my name. I regret every single experience I have ever had there and I hope no human soul has to ever survive the terrible customer service nightmare that is “colectivo” on N 68th st. P.s. I only put one star because supernovae i.e. a dying star is not an option.

Nice seating indoor/outdoor combo. Great selection of food. Beer on tap! If you're in the neighborhood it's a great stop. Enjoy the outside fireplace when it's cool!

Super awesome and helpful staff! Really great food I recommend their Curry Chicken Salad Wrap - it's the bomb! - and their Italian Sodas are delicious! Awesome job guys! Keep up the good work!

Colectivo really knows how to do decoration. They have an outdoor fire-pit, garage doors for summer time, and tons of windows, making for a very comfortable feel. These people are design geniuses that also know how to brew delicious coffee.

This is a really nice place to grab a coffee (or Beer!) with friends. It's pretty big, but it's well divided into sections so it always feels cozy. The parking is the hard part: they have a lot but it is often packed.

Indoor and outdoor fireplaces make this place extra cozy. Same menu options as the other Colectivo shops, with the addition of their beer selection. Three atmospheres including the the coffee shop inside, a garage type indoor/outdoor setting, and outdoor seating. Wait times really depend on the day and time. As far as Colectivo's this one is higher on my list.
