Mosinee Cafe

We were in town for something else and needed sustenance. Google brought this place up first and after skimming through several other options we wound up settling on this. And wow, the other reviews aren't kidding when they say this place is great! The food is delicious, the serving sizes are decent but not ridiculously big, the prices are very reasonable, the staff is efficient, it's kid-friendly, and best of all it's QUIET. Extra points for the lighting and music. By that I mean it's not super bright and the music isn't overpowering.

We were here with our kids on a Wednesday around noon and there were only a handful of other tables occupied. We plan to come back without kids for a nice, romantic date at some point.

Pictures are the Western Burger, BLT, and the grilled ham n cheese. (By the time I remembered to take pictures for a review, our boys were already more than half done with their burgers.) The fries are spectacular and I'm pretty sure the buns had been buttered.

TL:DR- Absolutely phenomenal. 11/10 highly recommend. Will most assuredly dine here again.

EDIT: Here again as a family about 3 weeks after our initial visit. This time on a Sunday around 10am. Despite being absolutely packed, it was wonderfully quiet. Service was just as friendly and attentive as the first time. 18% gratuity is added to parties of 5 or more, but we added to it because these girls busted a$$.

Super friendly staff. Food was pretty good as well. The only bad part of the experience was when the manager came out of the kitchen looking like he was high and then made extremely inappropriate comments to one of the girls working, about 10 min later came back out and argued with the same girl about needing to work harder, seemed to throw a tantrum and then stormed back into the kitchen while she cried. It was off putting. This could be a great little cafe under more professional management.

This is a basic, to the point, hometown diner which is exactly what we wanted. The locals stare, but it is not unsettling. Service is fast and good, even when they’re busy. Food was great. Portions were generous. Playlist was poppin with 90s music, and some 80s too. Syrup thick. Pancakes wow. Bacon mmm.

We all had the spaghetti. Was very good. I personally would like more garlic , mozzarella, itialian seasoning

Nice, comfortable restaurant with friendly staff. Good menu with the right amount of choices. You can tell thought and pride goes into the cooking here. Prices are excellent.

To a dear friend out for breakfast to get caught up and just connect.
We stopped at this restaurant for breakfast and was surprised at the space availability inside.
Pleasant atmosphere, good customer service even with a full house which is hard to achieve.
Will go again

We've stopped in here many times. Great food, fast service. This cute little diner never disappoints.

I personally love the mosinee café! I went there quite a bit of times and I love how the food is but yet it's sometimes a little off. I went here for different reasons and not just to have a quick meal, but sometimes to say hi to a worker or have a small meeting with someone, but I still love this place and will come back whenever I get the chance too!

We had the Friday fish fry. We chose the white fish. It tasted fresh and was served in a short time by a friendly waitress.
It's a small town restaurant with not much atmosphere. Pitcures of the river and buildings from the logging days on the walls.
Seems to have regular local customers. Seating is adequate with booths and tables. For some strange reason, they charge for takeouts. The parking lot is small with tight turning to get in and out. It has one handicap parking spot.

Great place to share the word to go out to eat. We shared it right away with our 2 adult children. We will return when we're in the area. The service was excellent. The food came out fast. Plus compliments to the cook. We both had French fries with our 2 different choices of fish. They were a bit too salty. We need to ask for no salt next time we go there.
