Huge pancakes and easy substitutions without extra charge.
Love the old photos of Mineral Point in its heyday. It is still a great town to visit!

I am now 82 years old and live in Las Vegas Nevada. When I was a child, we lived in Platteville. The night I graduated from eighth grade, I had my choice of any place we could go out for dinner and I chose the Pendarvis House in Mineral Point because they had Cornish pasty’s. That was in 1951. That is about 70 years ago. What finer recommendation can you get the voice from a man who was there 70 years ago and still thinks fondly of it.
I also played basketball for Platteville High School and we faced Mineral Point twice a year because they were in our league., then called the SWAL.

Super-local neighborhood rustic diner, famous for Cornish pasties (which should be left to the Cornish imho). Prepare to turn heads when you enter.

Excellent atmosphere excellent decor and server. Breakfast was am AMAZINGLY SCRUMPTUS and we loved the many antiques that were still functional. Thank you for a special treàt, Red Rooster?

My favorite location in town to get breakfast. You'll dine offline as this location does NOT have wifi, but you will find the best breakfast, lunch, and dinners. Check out the pasties and open super early at 5am daily!

Went to the Red Rooster for lunch with a friend. Had a cheeseburger and french fries and both were very good. Service was very good as well. Will come again in the near future.

Service was fine but do not ever order the pizza burger. Yuck and the "burger" wasn't even close to the size of the bun. Wishing I would have ordered breakfast...

Red Rooster is to Mineral Point what The Old Fashioned is to Madison: a quintessential local dining experience. Authentic pastys for people on the move!

The meal was good but the price was over $13.00 for 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, bacon, and a glass of chocolate milk.
