Nice little diner with a lot of character. I was pleased to see they have beer available. Soup was very good but not hot all the way through. Reuben was tasty but very light on the corn beef. The mushroom steak special was a hamburger patty cooked well done (I was not asked how I want it) so a bit dry. Cinnamon roll was excellent. Good service.

Quality home cooking, fresh foods, very clean attractive setting, and service that was thoughtful, kind, and quick. Great place to eat!

This place is the "real diner deal". Figgy Hobbin is otherworldly yummy with really whipped topping.
I am now a convert to bisquits and gravy. A+.
Can't say enough nice things about the friendly owner and staff. Lead cook has been there for as long as I've been breathing.

Very good, diverse menu, friendly and courteous staff. A little bit of a wait for the food but it was hot fresh and tasty. Coffee was refilled quickly. Great cinnamon rolls and a nice subtle rye toast. Good overall breakfast.

Good pasty. Maybe not the the best one I've had, but nowhere near the worst. Attentive waitress. I had cherry pie, too.

Interesting Cafe in a small town. Prices aren't too bad and portions are fairly good.

If you're in the area I would definitely recommend trying their specialty dessert a figgy hobbin, which is also known as a figgy pudding.

Absolutely delicious. We had an omelette and eggs and ham. But we wanted to order one of everything. The wait staff was friendly and great, and the chicken themed decor was fun and cute. Of course. Classic cafe food is its own category. It falls within a very range, given that range, our brunch was at the top of the spectrum. We got apple pie and figgy hibbin to go. But the cinnamon rolls looked delicious and were hard to pass up. We'll definitely eat there again, so next time it'll be cinnamon rolls to go. If you're in the area and looking for classic dinner food I'd absolutely recommend Red Rooster Cafe.

My waitress was amazingly attentive. The pasty and bread pudding that came after this salad have me a taste of the culture of the town.
